DotA Player's Thread (We love this game)

Utilizing bottles isn't really my forte, and It's big news if I ever give Brood one. I just pick up the runes on the spot, just so that the enemy can't use em.

It's easy to trick the enemy into placing wards at places you want them to put. just spin web at some random spot and poof! 1 ward down. Gem is the problem. lvl3 necronomicon is the BIGGEST PROBLEM of ANY stealth type hero.

err last i check,people place wards in places they know you be going through like the side ramps,jungle,juke spots etc

Should consider bottle as it gives burst regen and its funny to suddenly pull out a DD when the enemy is being ganked

I dont know of anyone still using nerconomicon and they are other plenty of ways to keep you visible like Sladar's ulti or Bounty Hunter's ulti.

It all depends on the situation. if there's no gondar or slardar, who's gonna catch me? if there's an int type, a Neronomicon is his/her bestfriend when it comes to dealing with those pesky cowards.

as for wards, they're not that smart.

well i rather use a treant or sladar to reveal them as true sight comes free.Plus treant still have the ability to cast dagon and still be invi.
Ah well I havnt had games where people dont pick heroes to counter mine(like when you pick Axe,they purposely pick alot of nukers)

The most irritating is after a few loses in a day and when you finally are winning,host rage quits......- -;;

why do people get surprised by my builds.. almost 100% of the time I post a build they get surprised...

I play a int type sand king... sure your soft and all but that's where sand storm comes into play... sand invi dodge FTW!

1.) Threds(int)
2.) shiva's
3.) refresher
4.) lothars
these 2 are optional
5.) fury
6.) heart

why lothars 2 walking invisible epis... I'd like to see you run away from that if you have no blink like skills...

If you say that your SK is INT type, then by all means, replace the optional fury with an AGHA for a better SS. every pulse counts. heart is also good, and since it's optional, why not go for the Blink dagger instead?

I usually aim for blink dagger as a core item for sand king...usually stroll around mid game with dagger and bracers and boots.... then depending on situation, BKB then heart/scepter...

I usually dont play killer heroes....in fact I suck bad at them, PA, FV, etc...
I usually play int heroes or supporters and tankers. And most of the time, Im dont really farm that much on early and mid...unless I need a core item

And....I love blink dagger, I get it almost on every hero i use....well...almost

Lol...i used to have this really funny habit of preparing to blink whenever im jungle farming or walking in the jungle...my left hand would always be on the numpad when free...
So when I met something, I usually blink away straight because I usually play the soft, supporter which can not kill own their own. Best best best way, for survival.

And I use alot of bottle....i love roaming

I love roaming too, I only have tp and bottle. You don't have the inventory program?

Dota helper? I used to use them....but sometimes my team play on some small scale competition around the region, so I usually dont use them so I can "lvl-up" my numpad-to-hotkey-left-hand-moving-technique, depends tho, sometimes i use them too...

Oh... I use them for special occasions..

I suck at blinking... Seriously.. my epi blink timing is always off I wast 3 -4 pulses whenever I do that... that's why I burrow epi lothar... goes invi while casting epi IIRC

also aga not worth it... 1 pulse is not worth 4,300 even with stat boost ... with that much I can have fury and some left over to start on heart, sides fury + caustic = great farm

Blink dagger is awesome, helps you catch fleeing enemy and also gives you a chance to escape enemies :P

i use the numpad though i see some people use the Dota helper thing. Its just a headache to use though

you guys know how to get a lvl 1 roshan kill? as in the start of the game. My friend told me a good line up to do so

Even if that's possible, I don't think that's a good idea. the enemy would get time to lvl up. you wouldn't want a gap, do you? oh sure, you'll get some exp if you kill roshan, not to mention some money an an aegis...

naw, you can do it and if you kill roshan you also get xp and as a lvl 1 thats alot

basically the line up is davion, lich, treant, ursa and venomancer. Davion gets +armor from lich and treant, ursa just pounds him and venom keeps putting wards

i forgot the the hero with the bear hero name....sylar? anyway he and his bear can solo roshan and beat him in bout..4-6mins?Veno can do the same with his wards.Just spam em.

Usually they dont do that though.Usually they plant wards and go for first bloods

Sylabear... that's the hero with a bear that's too imba right now... hyperstone + radiance + rabid all on bear = dead hero... not to mention his bear is though as nails too

also you can't kill roshan with ward type veno on lvl 1... you have to be at least lvl 3 to be able to kill him... I know cause I tried... wards have to be lvl 3 just to last long enough to get another ward in place
