So I finally begun to play dragons dogma on PlayStation of course and got to say I love the game however I'm so used to having a helping hand when doing quest with like Skyrim but here I kind of stumble around.

Also, be on guard as you can perma-fail side missions. Here's a couple of tips that I picked up from personal experience.

There was a DLC for December 17,2012 in case you guys didn't notice. It adds "Hard" mode, and speed-run mode.
The reason I put Hard in quotations is because, if you're like; I don't level 178, it really isn't "Hard". Although one thing is annoying, the MASSIVE stamina costs for moves. I leveled up as a Ranger for a very long time, so I have an ABSURD amount of stamina. I did High Frigor, and it literally took about 1/3 of my maximum stamina. Also my pawn has leveled as a fighter for about 140 levels, so she's my perfect tank <3

Too bad I don't have the game anymore. Got rid of it for extra money to get a Nexus 7.

Personally at this point I absolutely love this game. The way pawns just walk around the world for you to hire? Genius. My brother made a pawn and I forced him to watch as I tossed him off a cliff. I also found a level 76 pawn named squall who I had to pay absolutely nothing for even though he isn't super battle crazed so I still have a lot of work to do. I'm level 17 at this point so I'm really focused on making sure I'm doing work during the day and sleeping the nights away. Took a wrong turn off the roads going to Witchwood and ended up running away from a chimera and a veritable army of lizard men, all the while circling to pick up the pawns, even Rook, who I didn't realized stayed at level 6 until I was level 11. Can anyone tell me if I can change the RC cost of my pawn?

Sorry bout that XD
So the Hard mode is out with The speed run mode, gonna play later.
The speed run is kinda good, you have to finish it too without the option of saving XD
Oh and you can add me up on PSN guys, IGN: Aftahshak, maybe my pawn can help out a litte. She's a ranger BTW.

For example, if you're looking to hire a pawn that's a good 10 levels higher than you, you can expect the RC cost to be a bit high. But if the pawn is at the same level as you or even lower, they're free to hire.

So I managed to get to the Main Dragon boss fight a little before New Year's and I have to say...BY THE GOD'S IT WAS EPIC!!!! I absolutely loved it and even though I'm a bit confused I had sooooo much fun. Also, the Duke is an asshole and I did kill the Dragon...but that one dagger that you get from killing the dragon that sits in tools, does it kill me when I stab myself? Or does something else happen?

Spoiler:
It actually serves a purpose. Do not beat the game without it. I'll say that much without spoiling you.
...if I take this gun, and put it towards your head, and pull the trigger, will you die? But Yeah, it'll kill the shit outta you!

So Dark Arisen release date is april 26th
30 euros/dollars in boxed version which includes the full game as well.
Nice of them to include the original VA.
Not sure if I'll get it though. They better start Dragon's Dogma 2 ^_^
Dark Arisen adds new content to Dragon's Dogma, including new weapons and armor and a new dungeon. The expansion allows users to transfer their original save file and also features more character customization options and an option for Japanese dialogue.

Hopefully this time around we have a wider range of skills, and attack commands, the strong attack command could seriously use some work, since I feel like I never used it.
Also, if the game could run at a steady frame rate that'd be lovely too. It gets annoying fighting Ur-Dragon at like 11 frames...

So someone got his hands on Dark Arisen and from what he's told me:
- +25 hours of new content
- +100 new armor and weapons
- New content is hard as fuck
- You can transfer your old character over
- It costs half as much as the original game.
So it might be worth getting after all and for those who didn't even try Dragon's Dogma, just get it.

When you say "hard as fuck", what if my main is level 130 ish?(I think 200 was the cap for this game?) I haven't played this in so long

I think being 130 is a safe zone but again, I'm not sure. He was 75 when he said he got "destroyed" by a boss.

So, I finally got around to finishing up this game. I have a bit of a problem when it come to finishing my RPGs. Anyway, I just finished the quest Deny Salvation,
I was gunning for Mercedes (gave her the arison bond and such), but apparently he took Selene instead. I heard it was possible to change LI's in post-game and wanted to know if that would work in my situation. I'm pretty sure that Mercedes was the only NPC in the game whose affinity I had actually maxed out besides Selene (her side-quests maxed her out never actually talked to her much), and since I can't actually talk to Mercedes with her being gone and all, my only option would be to make Selene not like me anymore in post-game. Basically, what I'm asking is, if I drop Selene's affinity, would Mercedes become my new LI? Or would I simply end up with no LI at all?

I've never actually had an issue with my LI before. I highly doubt you can end the game without a LI, as it actually has somewhat of an impact on the story. Wish I could give you answers, but unfortunately I don't have them.
