Played the demo earlier and it was amazing. I will happily pre-order the game and wait until the release date :D

Demo was entertaining, but I was expecting a little more content then just really short missions.
Didn't really warrant the time I spent waiting for it to finish downloading.
With that aside, I'm still likely to get it, as it was still fun to play. Didn't take too long to get used to the control scheme either.
I would of like to used tge created character to play the mission though.

You can use your created character to play in that other mission. The one involving the Hawk thing.

From what I had gathered, its a single player game.
The only sense of "multiplayer" the game has is "whoring" your personal pawn around to other players.
When you do this, other players can give you gifts in the form of equipment or consumables to be returned to you the next time you use that pawn. Also, any quests your pawn does with another player that you haven't completed, they will gain "knowledge" to help you in completion of the quest. This can range from intel on new enemies, new direct routes, and even intel on items.

After the demo I'm really looking forward to this I've preorder it. I really like the pawn system since you can borrow other people main pawns and the same they can for yours in return they gain knowledge from the quest/monsters they fought and help your arisen with advice and such. Also these people made pawns wander around in your game world for hire which is quite interesting.

My bad, Dragon's Dogma never showed up on the masterlist when I posted. Sorry for that.

----------------------
Honestly I was a bit thrown off by the name, shallow, shallow me Q_Q
I got my hands on the demo a while ago, and im seriously looking forward to the release. As stated by, who knows how many poeple, It looks like an updated version of Monster Hunter, and some other action games, But I find it pretty unqiue, Grabbing onto the griffen on the demo, and watching as it tries to fly around feels pretty cool, griffen eventually falls to the ground and the team tries to kill it from there.
I found the game really fun, i've re-played the demo about 20-ish times now, and at least once every time, I would ussally blert out, "Thats pretty cool" "Lol-Griffen" and whatever the game showed me.

Okay, so after doing a lot of research here's the important facts to know before buying this game:
STORY
Story is good, but generic, and is sparse after the first hour or so of gameplay. From then up until the last ten hours of gameplay, the story takes a back seat to questing and running about, with important plot events coming few and far in between.
_However, the story is said to have some interesting twists, and during the last ten or so hours of gameplay, the "final stretch", things are said to go apeshit crazy (from what I've gathered, the reviews seem to mean that in a good way and not a "glowing blue child showing up to give you three different colored endings" way).
GAMEPLAY
The World: The world is said to be vast but have a punishing difficulty for anyone not keeping to early leveled zones. Think of it as an MMO, where, though a high level enemy can come in and fuck you up (and your enemy), they'll mostly stick to higher leveled zones on the map.
Cutscenes: Apparently there's an occasional problem with desyncing voices and there's a number of clipping problems. No specifics, but be sure to not grade this solely on looks and cinematic presentation. It'll likely be like Mass Effect 2, where sometimes voices will just be randomly desynced for no reason.
Personal suggestion: Play with subtitles just in case.
Difficulty: It's FUCKING HARD. It's not "Dark Souls" hard, though. More like "Demon's Souls" mixed with "Monster Hunter" and "Shadow of the Colossus". It's a fun type of hard even for people who don't like things too hard. Preparing is everything, and once you have that down pat, things should become second nature to you. Things to know before diving into the game are:
1. Save often. Even a bunch of goblins can wreck your shit if you just managed to survive a battle with a pair of Ogres and don't have any healing items.
2. Stock up on healing items (both for health and stamina) and lantern oil. Seriously. I cannot stress the lantern oil. You will be ASS FUCKED without lantern oil.
3. If you come across an enemy too tough for your level, FUCKING RUN! Don't look back! What are you doing reading this?! RUN! RUUUUUN~!!
4. You don't seem to have any fast traveling except for going back to the starting kingdom, so make sure you get used to running everywhere and just exploring at your leisure. Fans of the Elder Scrolls games won't have a problem here.
5. As much preparing as you do, keep in mind your weight. The less you carry, the faster you'll be and slower your stamina will deplete. This goes for your Pawn, too. Fans of the Monster Hunter series will be at home here.
6. Think about your Pawn. They will learn and behave according to you, but the AI is a bit wonky.
7. Get more Pawns when you can. You should have a full party of Pawns with you at all times. Make sure you diversify, too, and find a set of classes that works well with your protagonist's chosen class.
8. Pawns won't shut...the fuck...UP! So, get used to them talking a lot during certain situations, just like in the demo.
9. Your Pawn apparently stays dead even if you run away, so you need to revive them. If they get thrown off a cliff into an area you can't reach to revive them, you'll need to reload your save.
That aside, other things to note are:
- The story characters are said to not be all that deep, and the Pawns are said to have no actual personalities at all. Think of them as things.
- There's rumor the protagonist is not as gung-ho during cutscenes as you can play them as during gameplay, often "letting things happen with a wide stare". No more details there, though. The guy who mentioned that was a Joystiq reviewer with a bad temper, so take it as you see it.
- Voice acting seems to be fine, but a couple have said that the Pawns only have a handful of VAs, so they used voice modifiers on a few to make them sound different, and instead they sound weird like chipmunks.
COMBAT
Aside from what I mentioned under GAMEPLAY, you get points for leveling up and using certain attacks in your chosen class. This system works like DMC where you can use these points to buy more skills or advanced versions of those skills when you rest at inns. You can eventually find a way to link certain skills together into some combo by executing them one after another.
You can also change how your Pawn behaves to better suit their AI to you, but the reviewers aren't all that specific. They learn from you and act accordingly, but there seems to be a hands-on way too.
Blocking skill is only for sword/shield characters.
Dodge-rolling skill is only for dagger characters.
Parrying skill is only for one-handed weapon characters.
A sad thing is the camera's apparent desire to fuck up your view of combat in the forest. A couple of reviewers have mentioned this. If you can, try to get your enemies into a clearing, otherwise you could get wrecked because your camera is stuck behind a tree (Pawns turn transparent in front of the camera so they don't screw that up).
Oh, and for the newfags: No, there's no "lock-on" in the game. Why the hell would there be?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...And that's all I've got from my research. Overall it seems like it's the kind of game that gives you as much as you put into it, one with more story than Demon's Souls but less story than Skyrim, with a plot about as complex as the typical fantasy fair and gameplay as harsh but rewarding as a From Software fantasy title.
_Buy this game for the adventure and challenge first and foremost, as the story is apparently more icing on a cake than filling.
ENDING
No word on the ending, but most seem to have said it gets crazy and really interesting. No hints that there's a cliffhanger, either, which would be a deal breaker for many of us.
EXTRA FACTS
Sadly the disc comes with locked-DLC, the equivalent of someone selling you a computer but making you pay extra to use 1/3 of the keyboard. It's a disgusting business practice, but then again, it's Capcom we're talking about, so this shouldn't be new.
It shouldn't be accepted and should be rebelled against...
...but it shouldn't be new.

Maybe.

As far as I'm concerned, the most important fact to know about this game is that there's locked content. If anything could help me with my purchasing decision, this is it. I'll copypasta what I said in another thread: "Dragon's Dogma has on-disk 'dlc.' Thanks, CAPCOM, your money-grubbing corporate douchebaggery lost you a sale on a game I was actually looking forward to."
Not only is this day 1 shit not new, but it doesn't look like it'll be going away any time soon. This means I won't be buying any CAPCOM or EA games for a while; I don't mention Activision because I rarely want any of their shit. CD Projekt Red is a bro among bros.

It's why I left that for last. The ending is the most important because it's what dictates the flavor one has in their mouth once they've finished whatever it is. In this case, the ending to my post mentioning locked-on DLC leaves a shit taste in everyone's mouth.
I got the game thanks to a certain circumstance, but trust me, Capcom is on the "never buy shit from them again" list for me, which primarily consists of:
Rockstar
EA
Capcom
What's CD Projekt Red?

What's CD Projekt Red?These glorious motherfuckers abandoned DRM bullshit because they've realized that the only people suffering because of it are the legit customers. Recently they released The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition for the 360, which adds a bunch of new content for the game. Good guy CD Projekt Red then said, "Hey PC people, since your purchase of the initial version of the game shows your support for us, you can download the Enhanced Edition upgrade for free." My wallet keeps bouncing around because my money keeps trying to throw itself toward them.
If you had to reread what I wrote because you saw the word "free," then I assure you they're a real developer who are really doing this.
