E3 2009 Thread

Microafot announce a new motion sensor thingy and people are already calling for the death of the Wii. I should really get away from NGG and Neogaf sometimes.

I really interested in Nintendo's conference tomorrow. They've been so secretive you gotta believe they have something up their sleeves. I'm actually expecting their conference to be a lot better than last year.

Oh yeah, can't forget about Sin and Punishment 2. That's gonna own.

As for Sony the always have the most boring conferences. (2006 being the only exception). They could announce the new PSP now I'm actually interested for once.

Man, I have to wake up early tomorrow if I want to see Ninty's conference live. Seriously, 12pm? Who booked that thing?

The Star Wars cinematic was insane. I'm not really a fan of the games, but damn, they did a good job on that.

Milo(It's the right step to VR games)

For this year all I'm interested in is Bioshock 2, Halo: ODST, and L4D2. However that list is bigger than I thought it was going to be, so I can't complain. XD

As I keep saying, it's not a 360 exclusive. I have to give MS some credit for passing it off a such, though. I think we'll be seeing Kojima again. It's unusual for him to just pop on for a few seconds.

So what do you think about MGS: Rising going 360 exclusive?

Wow, just saw a preview of this game.

The Secret World, Xbox360 and PC. It's made by the guys that made The Longest Journey and its sequel. OK, and as I'm writing this I've just noticed that it's an MMO. SHIT. I was expecting another adventure game with a fantastic story and atmosphere, not some more fucking GRINDAN.

OK, this video isn't from E3 but the game will be featured at E3 so it's related, I guess. Apparently, it isn't about GRINDAN, there aren't even any levels. Also check out the ruined London. I have a new game to look forward to and another reason to get a 360 - though when I had a 360 before, all my Live experiences were shit. It's like going into a classroom full of 13-year-old Americans with ADHD. I guess I could just upgrade my PC...

And they've started really badly... That stupid woman from last year, blabbing incoherently about "casuals casuals casuals" and "INNOVATION!". Basically she's justifying all the shovelware and no one in the audience in impressed. Not. One. Bit.

Now they've announced a new SMB game for Wii. It's basically New Super Mario Bros off the DS, but it's 4-player. So Mario 4 Swords, basically. It looks like fun, I won't deny, but it's kind of fucked up how they have the nerve to show another Mario game, that looks and plays like most other Mario games, right after rambling on about innovation. I mean, it's essentially classic Mario that eventually has multiplayer, like Sonic 2 and 3 did. 14 years ago or so. Anyway, expect it Christmas '09.

... And now she's publicly fellating the shiny plastic dick of WiiFit. GUYS, WE'RE SO LUCKY TO BE ALIVE RIGHT NOW - WIIFIT PLUS HAS JUST BEEN ANNOUNCED.

Double posting because that last post is getting too big, and this deserves to be read on it's own.

Golden Sun DS announced. Looks pretty good graphically, sort of like the DS Final Fantasy remakes but less blocky.

Sadly, they followed it up with some generic DESIGN YOUR OWN CLOTHES ^_^ shovelware. Now they're promoting the DSi. "Yo dawg, we heard you like gaming, so we took away your GBA slot and gave you a terrible camera".

Why the fuck is that old bitch from last year even there again to begin with???

To piss us off. I miss Reggie already.

Team Ninja developed Metroid?! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. Very epic.

Galxy 2 & Metroid was the only thing interesting, the other crap i don't care about.

The last part of the show saved the conference from being an all-time worse.

Golden Sun is the only thing besides Metroid I think is interesting. And I've been waiting so long T.T

That was pretty dire. Like you say, Metroid and Galaxy 2 were the gems, Mario & Luigi/Super Mario Bros/Golden Sun look ok (and the DSi stuff might be, if I had one). The rest was unbearable.

*rubs eyes*

People saying that motion-controls are "epic"? People hotly anticipating an inevitable slew of shovelware camera games?! When did I arrive in the fucking Twilight Zone!?

New Golden Sun?! YES! New Mario Galaxy?! YES! New Metroid?! YES! No new Star Fox? Well, that's probably for the best. No new F-Zero?! FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!

My thoughts exactly. That was the only game I wanted Nintendo to announce.
