Edelweiss

I got a question about that sequel.

I played Edelweiss , got everyone's routes and their ending but somewhere on the vast internet world , I read that it's possible to get Sakura and Rin's route.

Did some research and apparently they we're talking about Edelweiss Eden Phantasia ,
so my question is ... what exactly is it ?

I'm a big fan of this game. For one thing, I really enjoy the light and breezy atmosphere compared to the h-games that are all doom and gloom. Don't get me wrong, dark stuff done well - like Saya no Uta - is fucking amazing. Seriously, go and play that now if you haven't already. It's just that so many games get it very, very wrong. Anyway, Edelweiss has this nice holiday feel to it and a colourful palette which all leads to a nice, relaxing h-game.

I can't remember the names of the girls right now (I've played more eroge/VNs in the past few weeks than I've played in my whole life before that) but I completed the blonde teacher route and will probably do the tomboy girl next. I really love the odd girl too, the one that just says things like "you're stupid" but not in a tsundere way, just in a really deadpan way. Her voice actress is great for that role.

The translation is unbelievably bad but I really got used to it. In a weird way, it's almost like it's written in a foreign language but you know just enough of this hypothetical foreign language to understand it.

That's an odd start ...
Haven't seen that much people that started with Ibuki's route 1st ( blond teacher ).

I suggest you to play Haruka's route or Natsume's (odd girl)first, IF you're interested in the story.

Cuz all the other route's doesn't tell much about the island's background.
Hence , you might get confused with Ibuki's ending due to the lack of knowledge of the island and Hisae.

BTW anyone here can tell me what Edelweiss Eden Phantasia is ?

good game, kinda funny, only DL it because it was said it is wacko ^^

Fan disc with new routes for Rin and Sakura.

Well I went along the Mei route simply because she's smoking hot. The scene where you spy on her getting changed was more sexy to me than almost anything else I've seen in an eroge. I dunno, maybe I just hadn't cum for a long time or something.

Not that this was part of my decision making process, but I think it's better to leave the characters with the more story-heavy routes till last. I think if you know the whole story straight away, it massively takes away the incentive to play the other routes.

Also, damn it, one of the tracks sounds just like it's from PSO - it keeps making me want to play PSO it's so similar.

Anyway, the reason I actually came into this thread was to ask this: Does anyone know who Mizuki's VA is? Her voice is so hot - I tend to skip through other people's voices but I always listen to what she says.

Edelweiss has a great storyline for most of the routes (subjective pov). I hope the "fan disc" or whatever for this game has good storyline as well, :D

I think her voice is quite unique I never hear that kind of japanese voice often, it reminded me of Maka from Soul eater but I dunno if they're the same voice actor.

Got to love this game!To bad there is only 2 epilouge out of the 5 girls T_T

My fave characters were natsume, mei, and mizuki. But mei's ending was the saddest one so far and i couldnt help but keep crying for a good 30min like a little bitch except ran the game was really touching to me man i hope i find more awesome stuff like this. oh btw :lol: this was my first vn and it just made me want to seek out more.

this had to be the first time it's been hard to play an english translated game (well this and divi-dead) for other reasons then it being depressing.
the shitty translations are bad("fot" lol >_>) but i can get over it since i get what there saying when its really bad,
but i understood more audio then i expected i would (surprised of myself, if only i could read kanji) and it bothered me how often the translations didn't match the dialogue.
it feels like if i go with the text i won't understand (or at least as well) the emotions of the characters

ugh i wish 1 of the colleges near me had japanese language classes, i'd have started 5 years ago if they did, sigh

Yeah there's a fan disc out with routes for Rin and Sakura, and MangaGamer is apparently supposed to translate it later on.
Fan Disc just means that there's more content and routes for an already existing games, for the fans~

I loved it.

Mizuki's route is definitely my favorite.

I have a copy of Edelweiss Fantasia in JAP, i dunno if i should upload it cause the english version is soon to be out on the end of January according to Klown if ,many people request it i can bother uploading it....

well, it won't really be a problem of you upload it. It will make those who are able to read Japanese/use a translator happy though.

I thought it was done up rather well, as bad as the translation was. I don't know why, but I probably liked Mei's route the most, it was a pretty deep story imo.

All Overdrive games bother me. More specifically, it's the ears the bother me. But Edelweiss was pretty good.

yeah....at first I lol'd
but it still took me a bit to get over that.
