Are Followers even worth it... I don't want them to die.... Don't know... can anyone shed some light please
I use my followers as pack mules when i first started.
I'm kinda nervous on that part because if they die... your like... FUUUU How am I gonna carry all this shit now... especially in the middle of a dungeon.. you have to come back to the dungeon (assuming it stays there).
Thats why I switched to Light armor...
They don't die. They just get on one knee and beg for mercy.
Just beat the main quest line. After seeing the nord heaven, I knew that all other religions can happily go fuck themselves. It may only be for great warriors, but if one can get in, they'll be able to eat and get shit-faced among other badasses. Not only that, but the pots, plates and cups are all fucking gold. Also, there's always a good beat playing in the background with nords singing in their manly voices. (You can hear an example in the theme.) Eventually, god will show up and tell everyone that it's time to fuck some shit up. Sovngarde is alpha as fuck.
To those ignoring the main quest until they do everything else: do the fucking main quest. You will get awesome shouts that you'll most likely ignore once everything else is done.

Anyone have any idea where I can get that sound whenever you approach a shout wall? Yea I'm kinda convinced that the side quests are all limitless. I might get as well go help find that Elder Scroll after I officially help Ulfric takeover Skyrim.

This is why I love the internets. If Bethesda makes kids invincible, other people will be certain to turn off their god mode and make the game more realistic for great justice.

I picked up the Ebony Blade last night. I want to rename it so that its more distinguishable with my other items but damn, despite having only 15 base damage, its so damned useful when I was pillaging Goldenglow Estate. No one could fuck with me.

Like Rbz said, they don't die. But I stopped using followers after awhile they kept getting in my way when I walked through narrow tunnels or doorways. It got annoying fast.
Heavy Armor + 2 Handed sword, random insta kill moments against strong enemies lol.

Like Rbz said, [followers] don't die.Be careful, they can die under the right circumstances. Lydia and I got jumped by 10-15 people on a certain quest and after barely surviving the fight, I found Lydia's corpse among the pile.
On a different character and different follower who had survived many fights with me, I got the master level fire spell and decided to try it out on the spot. She was dead before her body reached the other side of the room.

I'm a lightning battlemage since I'm going through this game as a jedi; fus ro dah is the new force push, disarm is the new force pull, slow time/whirlwind sprint is the new force speed, and dismay/kyne's peace is the new mind trick. (I don't use illusion magic, so shouts suffice.) I have a perk where people disintegrate into ash sometimes if they're killed with lightning. A battle with a dragon priest once went like so: ebonyflesh, lightning cloak, cast wall of storm everywhere he floats, slice the faggot with my sword, then heal when necessary. When everyone was dust on the floor I noticed something was fucked up. Lydia was part of that "everyone." I did some experimenting and found that the lightning cloak, which normally doesn't do shit to her, will fry her when she's almost dead.
Also, I have 96 in destruction and nobody has told me shit about master level spells. Even the alteration guy in the college sold me mass paralysis and, with a quest, got me dragonhide despite me having 92 in alteration.

Just tried Skyrim.. It's awesome! Now I'm waiting for the 1.2 patch.. Since I've been experiencing the "occasional lag" which annoys me to no end :(

Bitches don't know 'bout my fus ro dah. I think that's still my favorite shout. So much fun to be had.

After completing that quest, you can then buy the other two elemental Master spell from her.

Okay so I need better Soul Gems, better gear and Level 60 Smithing. What should I do? I find it easy to make a shit ton of jewelry since I find garnets and diamonds shit all the time. But I'm having trouble enchanting good items.
Using Steel Plate armor right now. I think I should go to Morthal and do some of their quests.

I found three skill exploits that will raise the corresponding skill easily:
1. Smithing - Go to a blacksmith and buy the same amount of iron ingots and leather strips. Use a forge to make iron daggers. Go to another city and repeat. If they sell more ingots than strips, then buy all of them, as it is likely that the next blacksmith you go to will sell fewer ingots than strips.
2. Enchanting - Go to the college in winterhold, then buy common, lesser, and petty soul gems (that have a soul in them) from everyone who sells. (If you're filthy rich, then go ahead and buy greater and grand ones as well.) Then, go to other towns buying cheap, light armor or weapons. (When I say light, I mean they should weigh less than 10 points.) I believe that a day has to go by while you're out of town for the shops to restock, so if fast traveling to other towns to buy items kills a day, then go back to winterhold and buy more soul gems. When almost over-encumbered, just go enchant all those useless items you have and sell them. If you do the smithing exploit before this, then you'll have a bunch of daggers to use as enchant material. The enchant you put on the items doesn't matter; the whole point is to raise the enchant skill quickly.
3. Restoration - In alteration there's a spell called equilibrium. Equilibrium takes health and puts it into magicka. Use that while healing yourself with the best spell you have in restoration.

Okay so I need better Soul GemsThere's an indestructible and refillable soul gem you can get after finishing the Azura's Star quest, which is given at the Shrine of Azura, near Winterhold.

Anyone know why you can't marry Lydia? I'm already a Thane and she is my Housecarl, plus I already have the Amulet of Mara on. But the option to marry her isn't there anytime I try speaking to her. I can marry other women, but not her. Anyway to fix this?
