Skyrim is awesome!
I've spent more than a full day playing it and I didnt even bother finishing the main quest.
I'm gonna do tier two soon :)

Is this thing a mod or summin?

I'm so in love with this game, it's stupid.
There are some bugs and glitches, but so far.. nothing that I haven't been able to fix by a quick google search.
I -really- love how I can go mountain climbing.

New and relevant extra credits episode:
http://penny-arcade.com/patv/episode/skyrims-opening
Most of their critique is dead on. I remember that opening being boring as fuck, mostly because of how slow the carriage was.

I've played it a little too much I'm starting to feel a little ill. I haven't really been doing quests either I'm busy exploring.
My current character I'm using is a Nord mainly using One handed, Archery, Stealth, Destruction, Illusion, Light Armour, Smithing, and Enchanting. They're also the only skills I'm using perks on I'm able to use nearly all desired perks with just missing out on 5 that aren't too important I think.
I think recurring locations for dragons popping up often varies on each play through on my 1st play through dragons appeared often at the mages guild and on the second play through White Run. Most of my dragon spawnings don't attack me they circle me then fly away.
I think this is a glitch but it's not listed any where I get accused of stealing when looting a dead body some times or my crime record is collecting assaults but I've never attacked any one apart from hostile enemies. I found that the option to marry a lot of people was glitched as well I couldn't get their quests to come up in conversation.

Spoiler:
Well, I don't think that the dragon spawns are centured around the areas. I had a dragon spawn again in one area, then another on the other side of the map, and that was in the same playthrough.
I think it just depends on where you are at the time. For example, if you spend a lot of time in on area, you're bound to have more dragon spawns there.
As for the dragon circling you then flying away, that just means the dragon doesn't have an area to fight you. Same thing happened to me twice, one time I was in the woods, so the dragon didn't have a good area to attack from, and the second, I was on a mountain, and I ran into so gorge thing. Anyway, it's not a glitch, but the fact that the area doesn't support an actual dragon fight.

I've been in clear areas when the dragon decides to run away often in areas where I have thought them before some time they even flee just before I almost killed them. I've had dragons fight me in areas that you would think wouldn't support a dragon like in the woods where they shouldn't fit in and low visibility that you can't even see them so how would they see you only way I was able to kill it was because it would give it's self away when attacking.

Yeah, I've been having the same problem at times, but I haven't had the one where the dragon ran away during a battle. Now I'm thinking that it only attacks if the dragon sees you or something. That itself gets me, cuz in some areas, the dragon has to be blind as a bat to not have seen me, and other times, it's like the dragon spotted me from a mile away.
Not really sure on what's going on now.

So I've been thinking about getting Skyrim for PC but I'm not sure if my laptop, which is about a year old, can handle it.
What are the recommended and minimum "Gaming Graphics" scores to run Skyrim?
My PC's gaming graphics subscore is 6.3 and overall score is 5.5. It has 8GB of RAM, an Intel Core i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30 GHz (though its listed four times in the Device Manager, does that mean its a Quad core?) and an integrated Radeon HD 6490M graphics card.
I hope my PC can handle Skyrim because I heard the console versions were buggy at release and I wouldn't have access to broadband for several months to patch it.

Yeah, you're fine. The only drawback I see is your graphics.
I can run Skyrim on ultra settings with just 3GB of RAM.
Here's a site for reference.

I FINALLY got it in the Steam Summer Sale at 50% off. I just need to get to the library with wi-fi later this week and download it. It would take for-fucking-ever to try to download it on dial-up.
edit: Got the game downloaded. Holy shit is it easy to get sidetracked. I apparently cleared the first dungeon in a side quest before I had to go there to get a story relevant item. I had to go all the way through the dungeon, no enemies this time to get that damn stone. I also got a pretty sweet battleaxe. Note to self: check every fucking enemy corpse.
Also, should I join the Imperials or the Stormcloaks? I'm playing as a Nord right now if that makes any difference.
