yeah im using windows 7 but i got the game running using japanese region setting

You also have to set the system locale so you go to:
control panel>Clock,Language,region> Administrative tab (4th one to the right)> The second option which is language for non-Unicode programs> set it to Japanese and restart the computer.
You also cannot use applocale.

Funny. What virtual machine?
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, and it runs perfectly fine.
BTW, As I played a lot of Japanese games, I have set my locale setting to Japanese, unchanged since years ago.
EDIT: And of course, I use the latest version of DirectX from microsoft's website.

yes. And if all else fails, u can download all the previous directX packs from microsoft somewhere on their official site. That's what I did to play some of my older games.

Downgrading DirectX's version is not as easy as "download-and-install", you know.
Go ahead and try nevertheless, there are a lot of tutorial on how to do it out there.

Well ,it'll modify some files.
You can use the DirectX come together with the game and it'll modify less files than the microsoft version.

Yeah installing DX 9 with the game is not a downgrade just adds some extra files.

Ok so I tried too run Append Disc - Hannah in WinZIP but the files I get are (hanna_jyunrei.cdd
hanna_jyunrei.cdm, hanna_jyunrei.cue, hanna_jyunrei.img<---Which is what I thought I had to click, and last hanna_jyunrei.sub)
BUT When I click hanna_jyunrei.img It says its Extracting but stops near the end saying "Cannot open file: it dose not appear to be a valid archive. If you Downloaded this file, try downloading the file again." Then when I click ok a new WinZip window opens :/ I'm kinda stuck on what to do now I mean I tryed the other two and they seemed to work fine(English patch and Test) but just the Hanna Append disc is giving me trouble :/

And then I'm stuck :/ I'm Kinda getting annoyed on how trouble some just trying to get this too work V_V Please assist if possible.

1 - Try rename your game folder to English (ie. Kamidori Alchemy Meister) and retry the patch.
2 - Uninstall the game ,creat a new folder and install the game into it .After that ,run the patch.
*** Make sure to change your Regional locale to Japanese .Aroduc said the patch only work on Japanese locale.
And if you use Win Vista or 7 ,"Run as admin"
