Apparently the Far Cry 2 health system does indeed make a return. Not sure how far the game'll go with ripping bullets out of your arm, but they did keep the morphine syrettes for when your health is low, which is nice. I'm also liking how they added crafting and weapon customizations.

At first Far Cry 3 wasn't a big deal for me but I gotta say I was watching more and more previews the more and more I wanted it. Now it is one of my must buys. I'm really excited for this game.

Edit: So far I'm in love with this game and I am pleased with the graphics and gameplay. I love the story and Jason's reaction to the chaos . The open world is amazing and I love the interaction with the wildlife and tigers saving my ass at times. I never played Far Cry 2, but from what I hear it was amazing and pushed the players difficulty wise. However, the driving in the game feels clunky to me and I may never become a good driver or will constantly drive into objects.

I am so far in love with Far cry 3 it has gotten dangerous. This game just wins so hard!!!!! It just......wins...if for some reason you thought you wouldn't like it you are wrong. Plain and Simple. Game of the Year no contest.

I played the pirated version for 4 days already, and I really enjoyed it. Claiming a base with 1 sniper rifle and killed a Defender with one shot behind his head. Pure enjoyment.
Also the takedown kills are just great! Especially the Knife Take down!

I retract my statement regarding the vehicles since I now have a grasp of driving. Also the car is your best friend against the asshole animals that love sneaking up and attacking you.

How am I supposed to get shark skin without getting mauled to death?get on a boat that has a mounted machinegun and shoot it to death before getting the skin.
This game is amazing, but at the same time, I have way too much of money and skill points. I was doing so much side contents before progressing onto the next map. It is a bit too easy coming from Far Cry 1 even after I am starting to encounter the supposedly tougher enemy with the exception of the arsonists. Those are tough since you have to worry about getting caught in the fire.
Then again, the hunting missions are insanely hard though.

Then again, the hunting missions are insanely hard though. Not really, like hunting that Rare Golden Tiger using a bow is easy. Use the Hunter's Instinct shot and get to a high place. If you find a rock, stay on top of it. The tiger won't even attack you if you're there. Then you can start to shoot it with ease, or you can run backwards while shooting at that tiger. You can use this method on every hunting mission!
And for that rare shark hunting, Kill the other sharks first and mark the rare shark. Lure it to bellow your boat and start to shoot him up using your bow.
Oh and don't forget to upgrade your Bow Cap to the last. It will really help you on these bow hunting quests.

Thanks for the advice. Now I'm off to get the rare golden tiger.

Got the game on release day (PC version) and I've been loving every moment of it since. I particularly love the hunting missions but I've still got a lot of the game left to dig through.
Also, Vaas is awesome. Definitely one of the most interesting antagonists I've seen in a while.

Ok, I've finished the game yesterday in normal difficulty. It was really good! I'm going to replay this again in a harder difficulty.

Cruz
Dope Stone Lion
Michael Mando did an excellent job as Vaas. Easily one of my favorite things about this game.

Even with most settings on low, it still looks amazing, and I do agree with you guys, Vaas voice acting is superb.

The game was fucking amazing! They werent kidding when they said its like Skyrim with guns and a once in a generation experience I better see this game in the Game of the Year section on IGN and Machinama if not as a winner but as a nominee.
Also the voice actor for Vaas was by far the best voice actor I ever heard this guy needs an award.

Kind of Important
A ray of Tsunlight.
I just beat the game this morning, and I was pretty impressed with it all. They fixed all the goofy issues with FC2 and managed to keep the good things whilst improving on some.
I just find it kinda funny that the protagonist said that he had never shot anyone before at the beginning of the game, and yet proceeded to handle all weapons like a pro and slaughter many pirates. (Total count for me at the end of the game was about 1500)
Anyway, I'm gonna replay it on the hardest setting, whatever it's called again.
