Fate/Extra Western Release! Also: Sequel Planned!

Well worth the money and has a better story and cast of characters than most other games currently on the market. Literally. Nothing else on the market right now is as likely to make you laugh, get nervous, and cry as this game.


I made it all the way up to Saber's big backstory reveal before I realized that I never got Caster's big backstory reveal, so I'm back to doing a playthrough with Caster (though the NG+ should help with Rank 4).

I love Caster. I can't help it. Saber is a mix bag with me for certain reasons (some personal), but she's really a guilty pleasure and Archer is...well...he's Archer. No need to say more on such badassery.
_But Caster is just so great in how she acts. She's immeasurably adorable and that one magic move that knocks off most of the damage taken from a Skill and soaks up MP is priceless. I found myself missing her fighting style when playing with Saber.

Playing Archer I am missing Saber. Archer is kinda overused a bit so there thus isn't any big surprises to his character

also why couldn't archer just project a vorpal blade.....

He...forgot he could? I don't know. Maybe the writer didn't think that one through (in the sense that certain turns of events being neutral to all the Servants, since it clearly isn't with Archer).

lol You miss Saber, I missed Caster- Such things are beautiful traits of great character writing.

I hear Archer doesn't really have a romance with the protagonist. Is that true? I was kind of hoping my female protagonist would be able to see him blush. I think he did that once in Fate/Stay Night.

just finished FeMc+Archer on Rin route, damn berserker was so much harder than Gawain lol..
killed the final boss with UBW+Caladborg spam , never reached 4 turns lol

dunno haven't gotten that far with archer as I already stated but if I remember correctly most of the Knights of the Round knew anyways

It's supposed to be "Red Saber".

Actually, according to the artbook, Takeuchi refers to her as "Saber Extra". I suppose since the other Saber is introduced so early on in the game and given no mystery as to their identity and class he just considers Red Saber to be Saber Extra.

I've just been calling her Saber Extra because the character designer does. I guess she could also go by Red Saber, Saber Red, Crimson Saber, etc.
Just...be sure not to call her Shorty Saber.

Also, I finally beat Saber's play through yesterday. Now I'm moving on with Archer. It took me long enough, but I finally did it. Yeah, I don't play that much.

So, I just started playing the english one "just for fun", and saw that. I facepalm real hard. They basically copied her stats when her matrix level is E. I loaded my save data from the Japanese version, loaded the early saves, and the explanation for that is just 3 lines of sentences, and there's no "name" mentioned.

And I think no one talked about it in Aksys's forum.

How was it? Who did you save and what choice did you make at the end?



I see. That explains a lot. It's one thing to forgive the occasional reference or grammar error, but that's just fucking lazy.
