Final Fantasy Type-0 Demo (JPN)

Tried it out... it's a nice little demo... not sure if i would buy the full version without a tweak or two.

So, it's official name is FF Type-0, huh?
the demo is downloadable from PSN right?

I haven't be able to sign in to the network for awhile.. i got the demo from a iso/cso blog site.

I'm actually about to download it the same way (lol) and give it a try.

I forgot I have a bad analog...
So, do we use the D-PAD or the analog for this?
(I haven't started downloading. dang no torrents.. can't download from shitty upload sites)

I was actually hoping you'll give like a full review of the pros and cons of the game... Lol.

You use both. D-pad for moving the point of view up/down/sides. Stick to move character.


Review wise to better then the old ff it kind of like 9-thru 12... way better then ff psp.

I'm enjoying this demo, quite alot to be honest. My only gripe about it is it's in japanese, but that's a given. I really it does get an international release though..if not then I'll actually import it. :/

I'm playing the demo RIGHT NOW, So far the opening cutscene is alot Darker than previous Final fantasy games, I haven't actually been playing yet but i'm enjoying the cutscenes.
The graphics are actually well done, it looks like a PS2 game. The controls are a acquired taste.. I haven't actually found out how to switch them around because I prefer having the Left/Right bumpers as my camera control

Question, Assuming you finished the demo, How do you actually progress in the game? I tried the combat situation then they bring out a save stone thing, Is there a way to play as the other characters? or is it just it?

I havent finished it, I took a sammich break (LMAO!). I'm about to resume playing it now though. If you're asking how to switch characters during missions, then you just press and hold the L trigger and press up on the D-Pad and select a different character to bring in-game, press O to confirm the selected character.

Then press and hold L again, and press right on the D-Pad. The D-Pad options have to be highlighted as white for them to be enabled though, sometimes they're white or grayed out, not exactly sure what causes that.

Unless you mean something else?

Also, I think there are only a set number of missions in the demo, about 3 or 4.

Alright, Thanks Bro - I'll look into it. Its just really difficult to move the camera sometimes, I have to do the CLAW sometimes..

Haha, yeah I used to have a hard time too. I got used to it over time after playing alot of Monster Hunter Portable 2G with my friend online. Same for God Eater, I love God Eater. :D

I kinda figured out some of what was what in the main menu, but that guide most certainly helped make things more clear for me. Thanks for posting that.

I'm surprised it was bloody hell, not like any other FF series. (reffering to the opening scene where the Byakko soldiers burns and stabs one of Suzaku's soldiers)
and kinda sad seeing Izana and his Chocobo

So, which character do you like to use?
I personally like to use Nine, King and Ace. Haven't tried Machina or Sice. Queen is just too rigid for me, Rem is also quite nice to use.

4th demo mission is hard as shit, must grind my level.

Question, What is Guests? is that like Multiplayer? Am I playing with Dudes in Japan?
Found out those are simulated characters, just a example of how Multiplayer would work.
I also tried playing that one Gunner character, but god damn I'm too excited... Sadly I have no idea what I'm doing when I'm playing this game....

My bro is playing the demo so far. Got frustrated at first with the Japanese and difficulty spike, but now he's grown to it. This will hopefully be the huge sendoff the PSP deserves.

Only current gripe so far is the camera system. At least they said it's going to improve in the final version.
