I would also make a game based off an amazing flash game I had the pleasure of playing on Newgrounds here.
I recommend it be played for a full explanation of what exactly I'm talking about.
Basically however you would be required to clear zombies from sections of the city and then barricade that section of the city off. There are survivors, different types of city, morale you have to manage, and random encounters. There are a ton more features I would add but 'nuff said I guess.

At the start. I'm working on learning code at the moment, but I wanted to try and make something that modeled persona 3/4 in modern rpg standards, but change everything other than the theme "normal average Joe by day transfo... err average fighter of evil at night", to a more diverse and singular progression with a bordering on a constant looming danger. But the project I have in my head is rather grand so I'm putting this on hold. (No funding for voices, music, character designers (I could go without voice, and study to half assing character design to person or below level (even do as persona 3 portable and use CG's), music... would be a problem, don't think I can do what Zun or Crow's claw does (from scratch) within 3 years (or less, I'd prefer less)))
In the meantime I'm studying games like Minecraft, to see whats the key points that best make it sell so well, so that I can emulate it in a different manner, as Terreria attempted to do. I'll need funding and a game that makes me a big enough profit will support me quite a bit, but simple and cost efficient that I don't have to work on it for years.
I also want to build my own (crappy T_T I know it won't be a UNREAL anything...) engine.
I had debated for awhile, rather to go h or not, but I gave up, wouldn't be able to sell non-h titles, afterwards, in the US. But I always wanted to make Artificial Girl 4 since Illusion never will.
I'm using a great set of vid's and instructions to guide me further. Though I really need to narrow down my interest range, considering I can settle for anything from rpg's to fps (though I think I prefer tps).

If I was to make a video game it would have to be a rpg (old school like final fantasy 1-6) but with my own story. I would also make the equipment visible in combat and if there was any space left over it would probably have either a sand box mode or art gallery. IDK I still have to get my story straight first before applying a "type of game" to it.

Sabers Praetor
Unlimited Lewd Works
I would make my own version of .hack// except more expansive classes and what not

Id try and make a horror rpg. I have always loved games like Rule of Rose and Id need to make something along the same lines. Ive debated doing so many a time and I wouldn't even be opposed to making it in RPG maker, considering I play more of those than I play anything else really.
I have no idea what it would be called yet. Like any true artist I shall come up with a title after it is created!

I remember as a teen I wanted to make an action game where the left and right trigger buttons (was using the GCN as a reference) would shoot out hookshots that the main character had. So L shot the left one and R the right one. And most terrain would be able to be grappled to. I thought it would be so bitchin' to just hookshot all over the place.
If you asked me now, I'd want to make an RPG maker horror game because I love those to death (ex. Witch's House or Ib).

I'd make anything similar to Fallout 3 or Skyrim, a massive role playing game where you feel part of the game everytime, you always find something new and sink hours into it just exploring the wastes or the tundra.

Ship simulators, but:
- with less bug
- more texture / substance
- more missions
- non-shitty controls
- more user-friendly

A true horror game. As in its nor marketed as a horror game. You can got trough the game not even getting scared, Maybe a second play through is required. The horror elements would expand the story and answer some questions
