Check out the music game, Elite Beat Agents, and it's more violent cousin, Hokuto no Ken...it's got the rhythm type game play but instead of making music you make people's head explode.

Knights In The Knightmare is really good if you like faster paced RPGs.
Tutorial is long as shit, but the game rocks ass.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, Trauma Center series, TWEWY, Elite Beat Agents, and any of the DS Pokemon games (they WILL eat up your time if you let them). They keep being repeated for a good reason.
