Gran Turismo 5

I just want my B-Spec drivers to reach Lvl 12 so that they can do the Japanese 80's race.

I dont have a vast array of cars so I cant enter that many races. (Havent even got a muscle car yet)

Doing a B-Spec grind in the French championship can be so... Boring!

I could let them try a supercar event that I did in my Alpine A110 but TBH I cant trust my drivers to win.

I was smoked on the straights by the assorted Lamborghinis ETC but I made it up on the corners. (Like I said I simply CANT trust my drivers to win and they wont lose because I wont let them lose)

Yeah the Countach and the Miata Lambos ere so overpowered imo, i have a Cobra with 627KW and i can barely pass them. Is the difference in power really that different?
For the old supercar championships i only have the Cobra, and the Shelby GT350R, my drivers suck with both equally, and even i have a hard time coming first against the lambos.

Do you remember from the last GT the Cobra Coupe? Had a look for it in this game but I couldnt find it! :(

The Lotus Esprit was a major disappointment to me too and and I bet that when I get my greasy hands on a Ford GT (:P) it'll suck so bad it hurts. (The Ford GT better be slick-as-fuck or I think i'll cry)

Im a bit jealous of your GT350 and the Cobra, Wish I had some American Muscle but my poor little Alpine still soldiers on for me against the big boys.

Im wondering why this topic is being rather inactive, after the implemented online seller and seasonal event ^^;
Since my old ps3 had the Ylod i had to restart GT5 all over again, and those seasonal events are a real help to get money fast (and exp)
Is anyone of you playing them?

Also ive wasted a fuck ton of money on cars that i'll NEVER use. (Why oh why did I buy that Lotus Esprit and tune it to the max? I must've mistook it for the 350 model) >__<

The races arnt very good/Not enough choice, Its hard to get a decent amount of money together, And I indulged in a Chevrolet Corvette C1 Convertable '54 which I totally did up (My best car) Rebuilt engine, Rejuvenated chassis, Supercharged... All the bollocks! (I dig it and all but fuck sake its not a Ferrari F40 is it)

My friend just finished the whole game.It took him about 1000 hour's to platinum it.This game is best played with the steering wheel desu controllers just don't cut it.

im far from 1000 hours, that time amount is crazy O_O. Last time i played i as ranged on A-spec 20 and Bspec on 27. I iften let them drive to win money while i play on pc, or chat :p

OK which one of these would you go for?

1) An USED Shelby Series 1 Super Charged '03 / 180,000 to buy and 150,000 to rejuvenate the engine and Chassis.

2) A brand new Ferrari F40 / 450,000

3) A brand new Mercedes Benz 300SL Coupe '54 / 237,690

Also what are you guys favourite cars? I bought an used Isuzu 117 Coupe '68, (Yes I know you WIN one when you complete the Classic Car races but IDK that) It has about 650 miles on the clock but thanks to that it also has an extra 18BHP (Pushing it to 251BHP) than the new one which I won and tuned up.

I just love it, I think its the best sounding car ive got and it just looks damned beautiful! (Pretty beastly too for a Classic Car) :P~

I've been playing GT since the first one too. But what I've been having trouble with the most is the X2010 special event. Its unlocked once you reach level 30 on either spec. But jesus christ, the car is just too damn good. I've only managed to bronze the one on Monza after countless retries.

The car is so difficult to handle because it does things that i don't expect a car to be able to do. I think: "I'm moving at 200km/h there's no way I'll be able to go through that turn without slowing down and turning hard. But i turn too much and next thing i know my ass is grass.

Has anyone here been able to beat it? If so then can i get any tips?

use a steering wheel and tune your car's steering and suspension.
use the right set of tire's.

I need a little help with my Ferrari F40!!

If one of you guys has one id really like to know how you tuned up the Suspension settings, Id also like to know what strength you've put the Traction Control/ABS at for it.

My settings are basically decent enough but in my eyes its still far from being satisfactory and id really like another persons view on how to set it up.

Also how fast can you get your F40 'round the Circuit De La Sarthe? :D

Thanks, Tried out a few things which seemed to work pretty well:

Ride Height: -16 / -14
Spring Rate 12.7 / 13.9
Extension 7 / 7
Compression 6 / 6
Anti Roll Bars 6 / 6
Camber 2.4 / 1.8
Toe Angle -014 / 0.10
Brake Balance 8 / 6

Gained 7 seconds with these settings then modified to my old settings again keeping the Brake Balance controls at 8 / 6 and gained another 4 seconds on top of that even though I spun out once. All I need is for my car to be stable enough to NOT spin out at all then it'll be gravy. (I'll probably toy around with the Camber and Toe angles a bit more)

Version 2.0 just got released last night with DLC being available on the 18th. All I have to say is damn, especially at the new kart track.

Car Pack 3 (DLC) and the Speed Test Track (DLC) is out. The pack includes the Aventador and the V12 Vantage just to name a few. Oh and now you can buy wheels for Standard Cars!

I want that special edition Sony came out with that has all of the DLC along with other perks but right now i have no money. GT is the best racing simulator, period. Unlike others...

I'd still call it agame, since I have played the real sims (GTR, iRacing, etc.).
