Halo CE Anniversery Edition

so I looked, and there is no topic on this. I figure I go ahead and make one on this.

seems its just a simple remake with updated graphics, but the ability to switch to the classic ones with a simple push of a button. Long overdue achivements, online gameplay with online co-op. what you can do in teh original such as glitches, cheats, and tricks, you can do in this remake too. all for around 40 bucks.

also if you pre-order before its release in november, you get a double bonus. the suit of spartan-117 for yoru avatar, and a skull that makes dead grunts meathane tanks explode like plasma grenades called "Grunts Funeral"

I'm honestly looking forward to the remake. The original Halo was great (Greatest pistol in the series was in Halo 1). I'm more than likely pickin' up the remake of this game.

My friend has the unnatural ability to attract little boys on Xbox live. Cant go one match without a 8 to 14 year old kid talking shit about us with no skill to back it up.

Who needs online multi?. The first Combat Evolved never had it, so I'm perfectly comfortable with just the campaign and playing system link with my friends.

I've been playing the original today by coincidence. Such a great game. Why it needs updating though, I have no idea.

You can still buy the original and play it on the 360. It's not like Shadow of the Colossus or something which would massively benefit from an HD facelift. Just seems like another excuse to trophy whore and boost a flagging multiplayer community.

I say it's a go. The truth is, people are ficle over the smallest things. People haven't played Halo CE and never wanted to because they thought that the graphics sucked and thought it was a piece of shit. Now that they are remaking it, people are complaining about it being another cash cow and that they should have left it. You can't do jack without pissing someone off man.

I say, hey, let them remake the game, the people who are complaining are gonna be playing it soon enough.

We see older games get remakes all the time. Pokemon Red and Blue, Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen. Final Fantasy 2 (SNES) into Final Fantasy 4 (PS1) into GBA then into Complete Collection for PSP. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time was remade on the 3DS. Some of the Resident Evil series was remade onto Nintendo GameCube. Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 both were remade for the Nintendo Gamecube. Ninja Gaiden recieved the Ninja Gaiden Black remake. GoldenEye 007 recieved a remake for the Wii (that game was THE best shooter out on N64 hands down).

This happens often to fairly good or great games. This isnt anything new. Just another great game recieving a remake, and this is one that deserves it.

This. Also, I like to think that Halo Anniversery is being made specifically for the orginal fans of Halo CE, and to those who wanted to play it but were put off my the outdated graphics. After 10 years, I don't see it as an effort at easy money but rather as lookback at how far the series has come. I mean hell, the button that switches the graphics back to the original is a testiment to that.

Yeah, that's what the game is mostley about, it being made for the fans of the original. I say the game is gonna be kick ass considering the story and the combo of the new weapons. giving more variety and a bit of a challenge considering how hard some of the enemies were in the newer games.

I also never knew that they had the graphic option, but I think it's pretty interesting.

Been years since i played the first one, so this could lead to some fun co-op'ing.
Assuming one of my m8's buy it, cuz i ain't.

this is one remake i will rent and enjoy...
