I'm making a video game.

My friend and I are making a game for one of our classes and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for a story. Btw, it's an RPG and almost anything goes.

oh well then, how about making an rpg slightly same story or characters as in h anime or h manga but in the game is without the h part.

ive got many idea in my head now too, but what kinda of genre and story would you want for the rpg?

Well I would love to just give out ideas but I need a little more feedback ya know. Like what kind of setting is it in? Will it be in multiple eras? Will it include hentai? Does it involve magic or gods or any supernatural powers?
Anyway for starters I think the best type of rpgs have really in depth story lines with lots of plot twists and really in depth worlds that you can really lose yourself in with all the details involved.

Or voice actors.

basic programming software like flash or rpg maker like OHR?

Set the game in a modern-day "real world" setting and make the characters get by with what they can acquire in an "ordinary" world; instead of health and mana potions, they drink fruit juice and gatoraid to recover.

Make it about Mr Fetch's Epic 'battle' against anonymous, and include Fox's crusade against computers/fun. With only Fakku standing between them and total destruction of the world/universe.

It's just RPG maker and the game is going to span different worlds. The characters end up in one world, get to the next one and so on. Each world is different and they can be more advanced than the previous ones. Thanks for all the replies. I really wasn't expecting this many.

Tragedy, that's one important story element that is very easy to relay in video games due to the connection a gamer has to his virtual world. FF7 did it, and so did TTGL, that's a main reason why they're so epic.

Well did you have any kind of base you wanted to run with like a main character.If you make the main character you can spread off of it pretty well.Also an advantage of that is the fact that you wont pull a FF 12 story line and focus on the main character for 3 hours,then have them take a back seat.Some great story lines you may want to look over are Shadow of the colossus,FF 3- FF 8,Valkyrie Profile,and some of the Breath of fire games.Most of those are pretty old school but there stories still hold up to most of the new age story lines.
