I'm making a video game.

Will it include hentai? What the hell, do you really think a professor would allow a hentai RPG game? If so he/she must be one of the best professor ever.

I'd feel pretty weird showing an h-game to the class.

Just a suggestion of story, you can take it or not, modify it as you like

story about a person, just went back to his home village and found out the villagers are acting weard including his family, old friend, ah and his long lost love who went to overseas also just come back. They realize the people talking about some organization name fakku. these people have powers and put people on fear.
then made up story like how fakku was previously a magic organization or whatever, had a coup and now under evil leader. also then later you got some companion from former strong fakku who you fought 2 or 3 times before s/he betrayed by the evil leader or whatever. Its probably good for the organization to probably have 2 faction good and bad, you know.. conflict in the organization. You can also modify it to be something connected to internet white a virus name fakku or a secret website name fakku.
you can add some tragedy here and there like how some of his family member killed, or his close friend before as team killed in a fight or whatever you can think of.
you can idea like how people everywhere started to have power and more dangerous crime occurs and so on, could probably some power leaked somewhere or some evil plot from the evil leader to gain more strength or destruction of the world or whatever.

if you made up your mind on anything, tell here. i can probably add some idea.

Ohh also another thing you may wont to look at is a deeper meaning.Like taking a stance against something.Also you can always use older legends and make them more modern day.

...add some lolis as well...hahahaha!

I'll have a prototype of the game this Friday so I'll try to post it on here when I have time.

OOps must of misread the part about it being for school. I think a cool storyline is if all those worlds you travel were at war with each other. Maybe for a really cool resource that upgrades your power. For instance you can make the powers different for each world. Some worlds could be mostly technological and thus your weapons/powers could be guns and really nifty gadgets. Maybe other worlds could be more primitive but more innately magical. If you need help with naming items, I recommend you look up an item list for Disgaea 2. Most of them are silly but there are alot of them that are really good.

I was already leaning towards the primitive and technologically advanced worlds and same with the idea about the powers but I never really put any thought into the naming of the items. Thanks.

That would be awesome! Are you sure you wouldn't mind? Character names seem to be the hardest thing right now. Of course I'll give you credit if I use anything.

If you want help naming them, we need to know their personality, their appearance, traits, and other things that distinguish the character from other characters. Post a picture of your character, and will be glad to help you.

i will upload my some sample i have of my own design on weapons and if u can let me know about the characteristic of ur chars and themes of the weapons if u want cuz i will need those info to design weapons tht suite according to them. =?

Second. If you ever need another opinion for ideas on weapons I can help you out. All I need to know is the type of weapon you want, if there are elements involved, if they are meant for stronger players or newer players and maybe what race they are for if you are going to have different races.

I just had a pretty cool idea. Since your game involves traveling to other worlds and times why don't you place some supernatural creatures in it too. Heck maybe you could have a world with werewolf like creatures in it for example. Or you could do the whole science fiction thing and add in aliens of some kind. In other words, maybe you don't need to have all the worlds have intelligent life. Please keep us up to date on your working storyline and such. I am pretty sure a lot of us would like to help.

We figured that we would do other races. Other creature types would be good as well. I'll have the game demo in a couple hours. You need to have RPG Maker installed for it to work so if you have a Mac or Vista it won't work unless you dual boot with XP.

care for further translation like wat programs i need ? where to download ? and how do i start the game ? =X
