Is PC Gaming dying?

I personally think that it's a little shaky. Sure, it's got the best selection of games, but they aren't as accessible as console games. Some (if not most) will go for buying a game for the 360 because they're computer sucks ass and they don't know a good place to get a decent rig.
PC gaming is still a solid platform, but it isn't mainstream. Heck, i'm not sure how long it will last. If it doesn't last too long, i'm probably gonna get a 720 (or whatever microsoft calls their next Xbox) just to play Garry's Mod XIII and doom 5.

One thing that really helps pc gaming are the mods, which helps with replay value. Unfortunately, console gamers (ps3 in particular) can now enjoy playing their ut3 mods.

or you could get a com for the price of the ps3 and play just as good games and do lots of other crap 2

Crysis... my one solid standpoint in this discussion, sure it's on the PS3, but can it ever run Crysis like a top of the art PC can?

@Malik: Not quite. I mean I don't know alot about computers but I would assume a good one would run you about $600 to $700. A 80 gig PS3 is $400. Now you can do more on the computer but thats $200 difference. (Easy math for the win)

They did try to make a console that played PC games (named the Phantom or something close), but them could keep up with the ever changing technoelgy changes or soemthing like that.
