well gang I have run into 2 interesting if not frustrating problem
I extract with WINRAR Mount with Daemon
copy the no cd patch to the folder and it runs great
I save and shut down
I go to restart the game and I get the "Put the game cd in" message
In order to get the game to run I have to delete the "DO" folder
and start from the RAR files
anyone else have this problem and have you solved it?
also there is text but no "voices" did I miss something or is it a read only game
its fine and the game is interesting so that is just a straight question
happy with my games
running XP lots of ram and dual processors on a laptop

I'm having a bit of trouble. When I extract part 2 it says the img file is broken. I've tried downloading it again but the same thing happened.

Then I shut down and restarted (not restart) and started from scratch
I got some great advice from EQYM on a different game with the same issue
if you are using Daemon after you mount the first one and it asks for the second Remember to go to the lower left hand corner where the virtual drive is and right click and UN MOUNT Then double click on the second image and it will extract
don't know if that helps Maybe its common knowledge

Having some problems with the game. I downloaded both parts and unzipped the game unto my desktop. I then mounted the .ccd file using DAEMON tools. I got to the setup window and went through the intial install process, however, when the install begins I get a pop up that says, "Fail to copy the File". I'm running Windows Vista and shouldn't be having any problems, as others have been able to get the game running with the Vista OS. Anyone know what I can do?

I finished this today at 4am in the morning, 100%clear. This VN was really really enjoyable. It was the first one that made want to keep going and going for 3 or 4 hours straight. It really is a cool one. (now off to the next one~)

Hmm... well, I seem to have gotten this running on a vista64 machine by using a virtualpc running win98. If people want more instruction than that I tell what I did, but I offer no guarantees.
I am a little curious about what I should be experiencing. Most notably the music. When I start up the game I get the intro music, but the rest of game seems to be without. I've only gotten to the second scene, but the only things I'm hearing are sound effects. Are these scenes supposed to be silent, or do I need to try messing with something on my virtual machine? Music is not muted in game and is set to be louder than sound effects.

hm........why does it keeps stoping on the instaling thing after i mount the iso file ;_;....am i doing something wrong?? i extracted the file part1 and part2 then i mount the ccd file and press Run Kanaust.exe then execute but it keeps saying failed to copy the file ;_; what am i doing wrong?

Assuming you extracted them with WINRAR you then have to mount them with Daemon Tools
You can get a trial copy of DT Pro or the DR lite at

I posted a procedure for that in the visual novels forum (the wall of words lol)
but the important thing is to unmount the first one then mount the second one

When you mount the first image in DT it appears in the lower left hand corner
once you get the load second image message
Go to the Image in the lower left hand corner Right click on it Select unmount
then go to your second image right click and select mount
The game should come up
If that fails you just might have a bad download

for others who are still having problems with the background music not playing even after all the advices posted. well i just tried to look for another source of the game and well luckily after installing it i now have bgm woot so to share my happiness here the link

Wow, I feel so weird to have a h-game affect me as this one did, and as jhencalix said the music fits perfect. First play through I got ending 2 SPOILER---> that last part with the recorder fucked me up lol, the sad music playing and the 4th message of Kana screaming to live, then at the last of message five the music stops and Kana says I love you. After the end I cant say i regret playing it, but I can say ill never play it again, way to emotional for my ass lol. I have to thank klown for this, truly one of the best games I've ever played.
