Something I've been wondering about and I should of asked earlier. What is Irelia's role in a team fight? Irelia is somewhat of an assassin. While she can be built in a number of ways, the commonly accepted build on her is Trinity Force and tank items. Trinity Force is all she really needs along the lines of damage, and the tank items will allow her to do her job of getting in and bursting her target and perhaps even getting out alive. There's a good guide on solomid.net that further details that specific build. The only downside is that she pretty much requires a solo lane to get the farm she needs.
Hmmmm... Because the build I'm doing is HotShotGG's build. Boots -> Trin -> PD. Didn't know about the tank part >.>
Recommend any tank items that would fit for Irelia?
Randuin's Omen and Force of Nature are the general thing you will want. Omen for armor and FoN for magic resist. Other items depend on the other team.
Build wise, I normally go Regrowth+hp pot > Mercury Threads > change Regrowth to Philosopher's Stone > Heart of Gold > Negatron or Warden's Mail depending on who you are facing > Sheen > FoN > Randuin > Trinity > whatever else. Sell the PS around the 20 minute mark or make it into a Reverie.
Hmmm... I might give that a try.
And man, Orianna is fun to play. I didn't really catch how her ball works until later in the game. I blew so many ults because I didn't realized her ball works wherever it's at. I was like, "Why is the slow next to me instead of being over there?"
And if you guess it, this was one my first time playing Orianna as well. See the patttern? :D

You can play and build Orianna much like you would Lux, that is, just stack AP like there's no tomorrow. You should never be anywhere close to the teamfight, instead controlling the enemy's positioning with your spells.

That game, I went doran's -> boots -> RoA -> Deathcap
Detailed item build in order: doran's -> boots -> Catalyst -> RoA -> upgraded boots -> Needlessly and Blasting. Couldn't build into deathcap since at that point I lost the game already.
Oh really? When I was in the team fights, I was seriously behind the tank. >.> And from the 3 free champs I played recently, Orianna comes out to be the most enjoyable. This is my first "hardest difficulty" champ to!

Doran's is a great starting item when you don't have a proper caster rune page (Mpen reds, Mp5/level yellows, AP/level blues, and either HP or AP quints is generally what's accepted.) Once you feel more comfortable playing her, go ahead and grab a blue crystal and some hp pots to start with instead to speed up your build. That item build is fine, though if you find yourself not being hit often, grab an early tear and ignore building RoA, turning it into archangel's later.

=_= last couple games, my Irelia was the tank. It was so bad that my whole team would literally fall into pieces whenever I get focused down. Luckily we won still by a large margin but the game was like 47 kills and 80 deaths for my team. Irelia is not meant to hard carry QQ

Thanks for the input Cinder! :]
So my first game(yesterday) with Orianna went 4/5/4 and I just played another game(today) and I went 4/5/30. I'm still getting the hang of her but it seems like I'm playing her like a support champ. Unless I'm not realizing that I'm getting ksed. Any inputs of what I might be doing wrong or is it just my bad luck with teaming up with carries?
So, now that it is Tuesday; new champ rotation. All in all, out of the three champs I played, my favorite would be Orianna. If I purchase RP, I'm most likely going to buy Orianna and learn her. I finally understand why RIOT have her difficulty rating so high.

You don't need to pay to get her. Play enough games and you can buy her with IP. She is in the 3000ip range

Eh, why purchase her with RP, she's only 4800 IP. Use your RP for skins.

Ah chet! I didn't know that. Haha! I thought she was around 6300 IP. I could of sworn she was 6300. Well, thanks guys!

I watched a couple of the season 1 games and was wondering, whats up with EU and Rumble? Can any EU players explain this to me? He's pretty much banned straight off the bat, what makes him so broken?
0
Not an EU player here, but I can explain. He's s beefy AP champ, which is bad enough as it is, but the noticably broken thing about him is his ult. Despite how it looks, the initial damage is instant, rather than after the rocket animation. Add to that the fact that if it lands right on top of somebody that they'll take 2-3 ticks of the DoT damage, the fact that it's ranged, and that it has a ridiculously short CD and you have something that ranks up there with Vlad's lane presence and TF's backdooring capabilities. It also doesn't help that his laning phase is really good as well, allowing him to snowball if left unchecked.

Haven't played this in a really long time, just started playing practice games against bots to get back into it.

Thats how i build my Irelia, you blow up enemy carries and have ~4.5k hp with 100+ resistances.
All thats left is pick a carry and fullfill their wildest dreams ;)
