Damn... I freaking love Sona! Currently the only enjoyable support right now for me. Other supports I play with are too damn slow. Try karma. Shield is imba powerful, and dmg you do with skills is high too. I just dont get that w skill. Imo it's really waste that she didnt get anything other than haste. I mean it sure is good when you run with teammate or when you chase, but there are better skills for that, and it doesnt have any synergy with her ;/
I'm atm playing nidalee AP
(When she was free I was owning nida AD on rank, but now i'm on too high elo i guess....) Thats great support too. Spear. Really. HURTS.
Never really thought about Karma before. Didn't know what kind of champ she was. But I'll definitely check her out, whenever she is free.
Btw, who here owns every champ?

I'm near owning all. I miss 2,5 shop pages and have 8k ip (waiting for FEMALE TANK MUAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA)

Holy fucking hell... Tanks are weird to play. And a thing I hate about LoL players, they whine too fucking much.

EDIT:
Holy hell Sona is a breath of fresh air.

Yus! I love Sona with all my heart. I've never won this many matches in a row with a champ before aside from Kat. And there is more if you were able to scroll down. Yeah, I know, I'm bragging a lot and it is just normal games and Sona isn't that hard to use but hey, I'm having fun!
Excuse the Shen game. >.> That was my 1st time playing Tank and I failed hard. People be whining and stuff!

Shen is a good tank to learn with, he can also jungle decently, so if your team needs both, you could use Shen. *sigh* I haven't had a winning streak like that...for 19 levels? I'm jelly.

so my friend started playing a few days ago, and she's got some kinda 40k Experience or something, I don't know, I think she played DotA.
She bought Kog'Maw and is now putting up ridiculous numbers.
to the tune of 14/3/17.
I've been playing a week, she's been playing 3 days.
I'm like

-Not being able to pick and stick with a class prior to joining a room.
-The fact that you have to unlock the skins.
-You can't exit out of the screen at all during the player waiting period.
-The waiting period takes too long.
-Some of the enemies are extremely overpowered and imbalanced. The game just isn't newb friendly. Even the tutorial was too challenging.
-The specials don't seem to be very effective.
-The control configuration is weak. I'm using a laptop and the default controls just aren't working out as well for me. It'd be great if I could use a controller.
I think thats all. In before you're doing it wrong.

Which heroes are overpowered? If we're talking carries...depends who's playing them. Ashe Teemo and TF would be considered balanced but are the top 3 carries in the game. Their team utility and damage outburst are insane. But then again, that requires you to be able to dish out about 100 creep kill per 10 minutes and still maintaining good team assistance.

Apparently, Shen is considered to be one of the top tanks and I think it is because of his Shadow Dash. AoE taunt ftw! Maybe I just need to put more work into him I guess.
Haha! Actually speaking of losing streaks. The last game I played, I put up a surrender but it failed and we ended up winning. Which in case would of messed up my run. I need more hope! I'm currently like 9-2 with Sona or 11-2 I think. So, I'm pretty fucking happy.

I'm curious... Are you a console gamer or PC gamer?
1. I'm not too sure what you mean by class
2. And as for skins, I believe you can actually get custom skins by made the community but I'm not sure how to install it. I really have no problem with "unlocking" the skin. Yeah, it cost real money and that's why you have to find a champ you like so the skin purchase isn't worthless. And about buying skins, it's like Capcom making new costumes for those characters. If you don't really have to buy em.
3. and 4. I use that time to figure out how I'm going to build that game. Although, I hate it with people don't lock in their champs even though everything is settled. When everyone lock in their champs, it usually skips to 10 secs.
5. Well since you are new and everyone is new, they'll most likely be imbalanced and overpowered. That's what I thought at first when I played the game. Champs like, Ashe, Yi, Twitch were annoying as fuck. You just need to learn how to deal with it. You pick different ways to counter them eventually. Here is a comprehensive guide or FAQ for new players.
Guide
6. By specials, you mean skills? Are you building the right items for the right champ?
If you need help, these two sites can help you:
Leaguecraft
Mobafire
7. There really isn't much to the configuration. o.o Use your mouse to point and click and then you just have qwer. Occasionally, if you have items such hp pots, mana pots, wards, buff pots, or equipment with active skills. You just use 1 - 6.
I'm sorry if this didn't really help you. What I explained isn't "universal." It's really how I dealt with the game myself. You need to put more effort into game and get over the little things. No offense intended(that doesn't sound right).

-Not being able to pick and stick with a class prior to joining a room.
Well the whole purpose of the game is team play. You gotta be flexible with champions and team set up prior to a game starting. It is crucial in the success of your team which is why you can't just be like "I'm going to play master yi EVERY GAME"
-The fact that you have to unlock the skins.
That's just Riot trying to make a profit for a free game. Can't blame em really. You gotta purchase them with real munnis
-You can't exit out of the screen at all during the player waiting period.
You can, but it counts you as a leaver. And nobody likes a leaver. When you click "find a game" you better be prepared to sit there for 40-60 minutes easily.
-The waiting period takes too long.
Servers are having issues currently, past 2 weeks they've been having issues. But before, its usually 10-30 seconds for a game.
-Some of the enemies are extremely overpowered and imbalanced. The game just isn't newb friendly. Even the tutorial was too challenging.
The tutorial is REALLY easy with the obviously "easy to play" champs. But if you try to play the tutorial with some of the champs, its impossible.(I.e: Garen)
Yeah, some of the champions are a little overpowered compared to others. But y'know, you're free to choose any champion you want(or at least save up for one) You just gotta find your own niche and your own tactics to beat those champions.
-The specials don't seem to be very effective.
Every champion has their own ultimate. Its never a one-hit-ko kind of ulti. Its always something that relates to the rest of your skill. You have to combo all your skills to do some good damage. For example, a champion like Ashe. She is a dps champ, and all her skills revolve around doing damage over time. What's her ulti? a giant global arrow that stuns upon impact. This give her(or her teammates) to do enough damage during that stun period to get a kill. Its all about teamwork, and skill combos.
-The control configuration is weak. I'm using a laptop and the default controls just aren't working out as well for me. It'd be great if I could use a controller.
Highly disagree. Most people play "unlocked" camera so they aren't looking at just their champion. The biggest point of this game is strategy and teamwork. You must keep an eye on your map as well as yourself to be successful. With a controller, you won't be able to play a game like starcraft, no?
I think thats all. In before you're doing it wrong.
You're not doing it wrong. This game is actually very difficult to get into unless you got a few friend trying to make you play it(which is how I got into it) yes it is extremely newb-unfriendly, but once you get the hang of it, its an extremely addicting game.

Is Akali difficult to play?
Quite.
A good akali:
- Does not KS for a kill
- Does not always last hit enemies
- Does not leave teammates during a team fight
It took me about a week to get a good hang of her. She is really fun to play, but she is extremely fragile, and you gotta know your limits.
You need good map awareness too. Akali is amazing at chasing/ganks which should be your main focus early-mid game to get fed.
Sometimes you gotta turret dive for that kill, sometimes you gotta stop chasing that barely alive ashe. Quick decision making and fast reflexes make a good akali.

oh, I see... Is there a way to counter that AoE slow where she vanishes? Ways to scope out where she is going to come out next. I'm not too familiar with her.
About playing with you guys, I'd play with you guys but I'm not sure you guys like the way I play. I'M VERY RANDOM.
