Marvel vs Capcom 3

The more i see tournament class vids about it, the more i'm getting bored of it. Sentinel f**king everywhere, i guess i should have expected that the first second i saw Sentinel reveal trailer. The game now looks just as broken as MvC2 and not even Hsien-ko will make me buy it now.....

I cannot pull this akuma infinite off for beans. I break after a few sets, hate my joystick. Yes blaming on my joystick lol. Need my damn check to come in and get my new one with sanwa parts. This hunk of junk can be so unresponsive unless I mash the stick against the corner.

It's not that i don't like him, it's just that i don't like to fight same enemies again and again. Sent is weak as a character don't get me wrong but,i'm sick of the same sh*t the same way i hate all those Ryu/Kens online on ssf4

Your complaints are invalid. Do you actually play in tournaments? These guys have been playing for a very long time. Wouldn't they use the characters they're already familiar with? Also, since you don't have the game, how do you know everyone is using Sentinel? If you don't like fighting the same guy over and over, then just stop playing fighting games all together. Even the most balanced of games will have certain characters people favor. The game is not nearly as imbalanced as MvC2 was, where only 8 characters were actually usable in high-level play.

As for the Ryu/Ken online. Also bullshit. I've played a fucking ton of SSFIV and it's not nearly that dominated as you make it seem.

I will have to agree with lollercookiez. Actually play Marvel vs Capcom 3 and you'll see a lot of people don't actually use Sentinel. He's just a familiar character from MvC2 and was powerful, so people tend to use him. However, as the game evolves, more characters will run in and out of favor. Soon, only a handful of characters will really be used for tournament play I expect. Of course, that tends to happen with every fighting game. That's why there are tier lists.

Marvel 3 is still in its infancy. People will learn to snap Phoenix and Sentinel when they see them on the opponent's team.

On a lighter note, I started playing online on PSN, and it's quite laggy for me. Is this the case for anyone else?
Either way, I abused it greatly and use the Deadpool, Dante, and Doom team and won 10 in a row against newbies with Deadpool's "Have gun, will shoot!" and then confirming that into ultra while spamming Doom's hidden missles.

I've received quite a few rage messages for that tactic...

Unfortunately online play is extremely laggy for me, what with being in Australia on a wireless network. Doom is fantastic as an assist though, although I like my Wolverine/Akuma/Sentinel team.

Well, about onlinre play it depends on the region and the "time" of Online.

I'm not so laggy when I use the "same" Region and in the lowest internet trafic hour, and that's around morning or night.

Rather than Sentinel/phoenix I hate to fight a skilled Hulk User...

online play for this game is pretty ass, unless you're playing a zoning team. i can't even play against people 10 minutes away from my house without lag spikes and huge input delay. :\

Seriously ? Do you play on PS3 or 360 ? Cause unless this is something that came up in the last 4 days it's news to me. I play on PS3 ,and in 9 out of 10 games lag/input delay is essentially nonexistent . Could it be your connection ?

i play on ps3 and it is horrid, but keep in mind that i am very picky about this. dropped inputs and delays all over the place, if it's like over 4f of lag, it bothers the fuck out of me. blazblue gets a pass though due to the huge input buffer on combos making it a braindead easy game, execution-wise.

That is the BnB for Hulk. If you play anyone else who's skilled with any other character, they'll have their own BnBs.

I realized just now that I should use Arthur for my zoning team. There are so many good characters one could use though.

I received a fun message for being lame with Deadpool. They weren't very nice, sadly. It's hard to play my rush down game with so much lag though.

Quick question to all the mvc3 players.I'm playing a team built around ammy,and chun-li and really need a solid high health anchor char. I've tried a couple but I really wanna hear more opinions before I just keep using sentinel.

Try Thor, Haggar, or Hulk. They all deal pretty high damage and can take a few good hits in the process.
