Marvel vs Capcom 3

Let me say first that I love your current Pascal avi, Koga, I got to start playing Tales of Graces F very soon as soon as I'm done platting the ZOE HD Collection or when I get more free time on my hands.

I may have clocked in around 120 total myself (around 80 or so offline since I'm still working on missions and practice) since the game came out, but I admire your progress and I'm eager to fight you again, and I think Vergil's become the best character to use in the game, so be ready for me when I try to shoot for a higher rank than what I have at current to challenge you again...

...but before that happens, I got to get myself a new Six-Axis for my PS 3 fighting games, the right button on my two year old current D-pad has finally gone through awhile ago. I thought it was me who has lost some skills, but it was actually the unresponsiveness of my controller that's been causing my losing streak in fighting games recently.

I haven't been playing Marvel that much, partly because I'm burnt out from it and I'm playing other games, and partly because my Arcade Stick is wearing out. A few of the buttons stick occasionally and the joystick itself is EXTREMELY loose. I would mod it and fix everything myself, but I don't have the tools nor do I know how to do it, so I'm saving up to get myself a dual-modded stick(save me from having to play on a 360 pad for when I start going to tournaments again)

And yes, Graces F is amazing. I'm on my second playthough, unfortunately I lost my NG+ save when I beat it back in May due to one of my friends' girlfriend messing with my PS3, so I'm having to start from scratch.

I'll leave my quick reply: Chris is fucking overpowered and sentinel all you gotta do is press kick button. u.u

I'm having fun playing Nova, Spencer, Dante now. Those 80ks all day.

In the end... My best team ends up being Virgil, Wesker, Hawkeye. I can't win with other characters... I'm saddened. Damn top tiers...

Why? You're winning, that's all that matters. Don't let anyone's whining change your team.

Why? That's actually a well thought out team and it works. I run Zero/Vergil/Hawkeye and Clint's Greyhound assist helps rushdown characters. It can also help with some keepaway too, Vergil is actually decent at it when he's in Devil Trigger mode because of Judgement Cut's huge ass hitbox.

The only shame in playing top tier characters is if you're tier whoring and you don't really like the characters at all. Not my fault Capcom made Zero and Vergil so damn good in this game.

I used Virgil, Nemesis, Hawkeye since day one, but I since phased out Nemesis for Wesker.

HELLA TIER WHORING! Well, I used Wesker in vanilla too, so meh... I dunno. I just play what's fun at the time. Stupid team top tier. I want to use lower tier characters like... Phoenix Wright.

Go for it then, even then, just remember, use characters that you feel comfortable with, who they are or what tier it is shouldn't matter.

Pfft... All the characters I want to use are uncomfortable to use. Damn you tiny normal hit boxes for Wright and Viper. Damn you low damage output Morrigan and stupid fly-unfly combos that are kind of hard to do consistently. Damn you Chun Li and your hard to do combos.

I wanted to use Vergil, but can't even get a good combo out lol or Dormammu.

Instead, I stick with Magneto, still the best character for me in any game he has been in.

dude you would gain 80% more swag if you can take people to court with phoenix, There is a lot to that dude, but thanks to his "movement" and small attack range, also if your and ok - good phoenix, you still get rushed down for days on end. You have to get used to him to make him work, he has the damage surprisingly and you can fuck with X-factor gavels.

Yeah. Wright has high damage output, and one of the highest in X-Factor. But... He's just so hard to use! Turnabout is hard to get, but I know that BnB. I need to learn his Trial mode BnB. Especially for getting into turnabout instead of going for random hits.

Chris G is actually fooling around with Wright, and he doesn't really use Turn-A-Bout and uses trial mode more. It's an interesting style I guess, but it seems he plays more West than Wright.

turnabout mode makes wright into a problem, I will admit that he is (if not) the hardest characters to use effectively, there are some points where you can pick up evidence during maya's super, that is also where you should switch modes too, and if you have bad evidence, gavel super clears them out. maya is your best friend if you use her right I would say....just wish lawyers can move faster....

Bad Evidence is annoying. I grabbed 5 pieces in a row in a match. I play Dante with Wright, so doing team super gives me time to gather evidence if I have the meter.

After Tuesday December 19th, digital copies of MvC2, MvC3/UMvC3 and all of the DLC for both games will be gone from PSN/XBL Marketplace. Servers for both games will still be running, but this means that Ultimate has zero chances for any kind of update. Marvel vs Capcom Origins is unaffected by this, which is...odd.


Ten more years....

The reason why Marvel Vs Capcom Origins is unaffected is because it's a newer release with a different contract/license agreement.
