I always knew Samus was a chick, and I would swear up and down that it said so in the instructions manual, I later found out that that information was not actually in the instructions manual, I was kind of annoyed to find that out, my next thoughts were "Wait if that information wasn't actually in the instructions manual then how the hell did I know that?" I'm still not sure how I knew that because I never did use any of the cheat codes that were available on the original game.

I definately enjoyed playing metroid prime and metroid prime 2.Enjoyed playing bother Omega Pirate and Quadraxis. but MY GOD,THAT BOOST GUARDIAN IS A SERIOUS PAIN IN THE ASS TO BEAT WITH!!! Has anyone beaten it without dying once cause i sure as hell haven't. Also were there any other hard bosses besides that thing on MP2:Echoes???

The original Metroid and Metroid Prime are the best Metroid games.

Hate to bump such an old thread, but I'm currently playing super metroid and really enjoying it. My new favorite side scroller, it's just so dam cool O_O

I recommend everybody get this game, even if your not much of a metroid fan, it's an experience really.

Also I've played all the classic games (Metroid 1 and 2 + super metroid) I have yet to try the newer series. Are they worth a look? I'm usually disappointed with 1st person shooter adventure games so I'm hesitant.

Well I didn't. That Wiimote controls ruined Prime 3 for me. Unless somehow there's another prime 3 game that includes the classic controler,i'm avoiding it

I would take Other M over Prime 3 since the controls are sort of similar to the older metroid games.

However,it's weird that there have not been any new annoucements of any new metroid games. especially any sequels to metroid 4.

Metroid hasn't ever really had much of a successful history. The games are good but the sales tend to be poor. Metroid 1 and 2 were the only true great metroids that did well with sales.
