MGS1 remake with new Fox Engine

This is one of my favourite games of all time and I've hoped for a new remake (other than Twin Snakes) for a very long time. I didn't think it would happen, and it looks like it really is now a possibility.

I was hoping for a Zone of the Enders remake or sequel using the FOX engine, but you can never have too much Metal Gear, I suppose.

I guess since MGS1 is more loved by people, this was made to happen sooner or later, I've always wondered what a true remake of one of my all time Playstation 1 games will be like with true to movie cutscenes unlike Twin Snakes, the cutscenes are going be gorgeous for one thing.

I never played the orignal Metal Gear Solid. I only played Twin Snakes GC. I really liked it, beat it maybe 2 or 3 times. Though what Twin Snakes did was make it easier from what I seen and it didnt have the encounter music. I will definitely play this.

MSG2 was the reason I'm a die hard fan for the series.

It will be great re living my childhood days of playing this.

Metal Gear Solid is great and all, but I don't think the first game needs another remake. Same with 2, that already had the Subsistence version and the HD version.

If anything he should remake the original Metal Gears (the MSX ones) because not many people have played them even though Metal Gear Solid is the third in the series.

The last MGS I've played was 2 on PS2. I do love the series so I'm currently waiting for the "Legacy edition" so I can pick up where I left off... Or just start from 1 again.

Hmm, so with the Legacy Collection along with MGS V on the way, that's a bad thing? I'd rather have more of this than another yearly dose of a generic FPS of the same title from another sub title that's been milked for too long.

Also, seeing how the recent MGS HD re-releases and MGS4 all got trophies for them, having trophies for the remake would now complete true MGS fanatics collections.

Apparently there's no plans for it right now. Nothing but wishful thinking and a translation error.
