But even if I do start playing more, half the cities I walk into have noob hunters who don't know how forge complete sets or mix and match armor, using the wrong kind of weapon with the armor (Agna+ armor + Switch Axe....seriously?).

Alright so, I'm bumping this old thread because something weird happened.
I have two Wiis, one modded and one vanilla. Since I would like to play with my girlfriend I got a legit copy for the vanilla wii and I'll be using my modded wii for the other one. Now since she started on the modded one before I got a hard copy, she obviously has stuff she would like to transfer. Well since there isn't a way to transfer data without hacking the other one and putting the HBC on there that isn't going to happen. So I was trying to build her account back up to where it was. Now here's where the interesting thing happens. I loaded up her old file on my modded Wii to compare it to the new one to see what else I still needed to do to get it back to where she was. WHEN LO AND BEHOLD, there is a Soulbreaker (G) just sitting there in her inventory. Now, she's played online but once and it certainly wasn't enough to get to at least HR 30 since you need high rank items to make a Soulbreaker, (G) or otherwise, but there it is. I even equipped it and beat Qurupeco and Ludroth since that was what was in the woods to make sure it wasn't some sort of glitch or something. Oh, it also came loaded with three Vitality gems for some reason.
So my question is, does anyone know about this happening previously? Has anyone else perhaps been playing on a modded Wii and got a random, impossible to get item for where you were in the game? Or even on a legit copy? Because I can't find anything about good weapons just randomly appearing in the inventory of a file that hasn't even been played on in a couple months.
Also, I checked my file and I didn't have anything extra like she did, so what the fuck?

Never happened to me and I play on a modded Wii. Although it's modded, I don't use cheats nor did I install HBC. How can I play games without HBC? Well, I didn't want to risk bricking my Wii so I went and got this since I had that $70 to spare.
With this I can play games I've either ripped or downloaded and it works normally how a unmodified Wii would run. No installation of HBC - no cheats. I played through everything and got everything by putting in over 700 hours.
And to get this straight, the unmodified Wii which contained your GF's original save had a Soulbreaker? Or the modded one did?

She has two sets of data. The old one which is the one on my modded wii and the new one which is on her legit wii. The old one is the one that had a random Soulbreaker on it.
And I've never done any cheats or hacks or anything. I just make it so I can run my games from an external hard drive. Other than that, I just play normally.
Edit:
Welp according to Capcom, this is modified data so I've gotten a 10 day ban on that Wii. The thing that bothers me though is that I've never cheated or hacked, nor would I want to since that's gay shit. Takes all the fun out of the game. So the thing that's really bothering me now is where the fuck did it come from and why did this happen?

i started playing it on his modded wii, but we wanted to play online together so i got a legit copy for mine. so the soulbreaker was in my box on the modded wii when we checked the data - just sitting there, looking all innocent. that thing is evil.

But I only know of one solution that might help.. maybe. If it does happen and you don't want to get banned, check your inventory in offline village and discard any high ranking items like that Soulbreaker. If you aren't at least HR 31, it's impossible to even get Soulbreaker maxed out so having a high rank weapon with a character HR lower than 31, I guess Capcom can detect it. It's a different story if your character was 31 or higher (I think).
I've met a few players online who claims they can "delete my save" or "modify my save data" and threaten to do those to me since they got all butthurt while playing with me. They were all players who claimed they were the best since they had all these good equipment with obviously modded affects like Guard+15, Evasion +10, and Attack Up (L) on a single piece of armor and with a high modded defense and attack, but they clearly sucked and always end up dying.
Maybe it's one of "those players" who "modified" your data for you or something... that's if they can do it. But you never know.

[size=12]pff, what losers. >:C have modded stuff doesn't mean they're awesome, it honestly would just suck the fun out to do that... anyway, after the ten day ban is up i'll give that a try and see how it goes. :'D thanks for the reply!

Yeah, that's what I've gathered from the internet. As long as you aren't actually using the equips that are obviously beyond your rank, Capcom won't detect it. So I'll try again as soon as my 10 day ban is up.

You've only gone online once????
When you go HR 31+, you're gonna have fun.

I remember when Kads and I played and we did an adrenaline run. It went smoothly except the other two players kept sending me into the air.
