Monster Hunter Tri.

I am curious about moster hunter series. I haven't played any of them ever. What are they like, are they an Action/Adventure type of game, a first person shooter, or just like an RPG?

3rd person action/adventure/Rpg. I'll sum it up quickly since I have to go.
You vs Giant Monster with big wpns and sweet armor. Kill monsters. Carve materials from them. Make bttr armor to kill bigger harder monsters = Win

This game really is epic to the max...but even I'll admit when I first played MH which was Freedom 1 I didn't like it much cause I didn't understand the system. But once I got a new psp and freedom 2 was out. I got back into it because of the new weapon mainly the bow and longsword. Soon after, I got better and better and ended up loving all the weapons in some kind of way and thus I became a hardcore fan. But all in all, unless you're willing to take the time to learn and deal with what may seem hard and frustrating battles...You'll never feel the true fun and epicness of the game.

Can't beat rathalos due to either time running out or the insta-rape ball of doom

I SMASHED on the rathalos...I got full lagricrus armor ya -15 fire but I don get hit by the fire lol and a PoisonSaber+

Oh lord I failed that mission twice because of time but that was because It liked going in the air and I was being all cautious...then I went back with a lance and poked it out of the air and then started poking it more xD. And Doesn't the lagricrus armor lessen the poison or something because of one of it's bad skills? I know when I use it I always used Elemental weapons while abnormal ones with my peco armor so I'm not too sure anymore.

I never got used to the lance so i went with the long sword. Im trying to make gunner equips to shoot it out of the sky but its taking forever and getting shell shockers from Lagi is near impossible. Plus I hate fighting lagi due to the constant tackles and shock tackles.

Sky the best thing to do is spam flashbombs bring 5 and mats to build 5 or 10 more...OR you can use a gun even though I would never do such a thing try using the poison swrd n sheild.

Lagricus is a annoying prick...I've never failed a mission so far from dying the only missons I failed was due to the time limit being 15 mins or my fail party gettin raped by a easy guy...best way for lagricus is to use Assault axe*barroth SA 2nd form* and SPAM the shit outta the blade form and bring alot of flash bombs and some sonic bombs and also use you cha cha as a lure and attack from the side of beloew the head unless you want to break the face I've killed him 20 some times now. Just got to predict his movement and attacks and you'll be set.

I am declaring a hunt for this saturday.
I am going to say around sometime past 6pm central standard.
Since there is a server event quest for Shen Moran I thought we should all throw rocks and poke it with stick this weekend.
If there is atime conflict I'll be on saturday all night so if things fall through just pm in-game and we can thow something togther

I officially consider rathalos impossible to beat. period.

I read method after method and none of them work. I've knocked it down twice and yet he still doesn't die. I literally nuked it with bombs and Used the LS combo when its stunned. Always stacked might seeds with demon drugs for more Attk power and yet it still does not work. I would go get the rough axe SA but finding a jumbo pearl is so damn time consuming. regardless of what i do to the thing it wont go down and stay down. Real close to just giving up. along with that, they expect you to kill a barioth and diabolos and those are even harder to kill. I wouldnt even bother with getting the armor sets from the three because their HP is much higher than just about anything ive fought. Didn't have troubles with rathian. she's basically the same thing but isnt constantly in the air or moving too quickly OR digging underground and juggling to into a wall.


Long story short: I'm pissed with the HP and difficulty of these 3 monsters.
Online mode's final boss is easier than this.

I mean ya the rathalos is gonna be hard shit he's been in every single game along with different ersions like azure,silver blahblah wel try a posion wpn or something..idk it wasnt to horribly hard for me everytime he'd go in the air I'd get him with a flash...also feel free to come to the hunt this weekend!

So true. Los is always hard in some way although I must admit capcom have outdone theirself on how hard he is in Tri. I know one reason I beat him with my lance was because it was decent in attack plus it had water element. And since Lagi set has element atk up it worked better. Although, if you're using the longsword I think your using cookiehead man. I think it needs to be upgraded at least once before it can take that los without timing running out with the amount of flying it will do. And also if anything bring traps that way you can get more hits and spirit blade combos on it. And something I learned the hard way...If it has you pinned down long enough...it will fireball you...Whenever it managed to do that to me it was usually a instant KO.

Because I didn't want to double post...I'll make it to the hunt or at least meet up with you at night more or less because if things go right I may not be home the whole afternoon because I'll be at the movies. But the same night I can get online no problem...if my tv at home isn't dead. I'll find that part out tomorrow at least.

Ya my armor is set up so all I have to do is replace one gem to make increased status effects or increased elemental attributes...but ya sounds good sky now we need more people *looks for yushi >.>*

I feel so slow for not thinking about using gems in that way. When it comes to gems only thing that comes to mind right away is speed sharping. xD But yes hopefully more people will join in the hunt and make it more epic.

I think you got a great set up for your armor. If I remember right my current armor skills are which is my Hinata set. Speed Sharpening, Sharp Sword, Focus, and did a little bit of work to get rid of Combination -5% but I'm working on getting the capture guru skill since people like to ask me to capture things with them and because a few captures were failure due to monsters being killed.

YES! I fucking hate doing captures....I dont have a problem its just the people go fuckin nuts and just kill its....happened alot when I was trying to capture the gobul n rathian...But the Olympic swimmer skill....dude you swim 3 times faster lol people were like wtf shawn u swim so fast...noobs lol

Lmao...The only person to swim faster than me because of that set was my friend who got it before me but once I got that set my fighting ability underwater has increased by a lot although I'm only able to use Longswords, Hammers and Switch Axes underwater well and somewhat great sword. But the worse capture kill I've been through was with the diablos. They sonic bombed it once beat it up then again and started to do it again. As soon as I touched my keyboard to say stop attacking for a moment I saw my hunter fall to the ground from failure.
