Why isn't this the Robert Englund version of Freddy? That would've made me buy my own copy of MK in addition to the DLC.

Freddy gameplay. Its meh to me.

So wait!? Freddy knows how to fight yet he got is ass handed to him in Freddy vs Jason.

In his defense: Jason is a cynical badass. He's like a tank fused with 11 brick walls and a whale.

I would've liked to see a Jason/Freddy combo like Noob and Smoke were in Deception. But that would be asking too much for a DLC character.

I like your simile, but I don't think you know what the word "cynical" means. Beside the point, Jason would also make for an interesting DLC character. But he'd have to be slow as hell compared to the others. That would also enforce my vote for Ash all the more, as he fought both Freddy AND Jason at the same time and still managed to come out on top.

Jason is on a revenge hunt. That's cynical. It's self-centered.

Being cynical is more or less the other way around. A cynic sees everyone else as being self-centered and has little faith in mankind. Jason's more like a judge/jury/executioner. If he believes that you're a bad person, in his view of the term anyway, he'll waste your ass then and there. However, if he sees you and recognizes you as an innocent, he'll let you live (depends on the writers/director). But the latter is few and far between. The only notable example is how he chose not to kill any of the children (can't say the same for the counselors) at the camp in Jason Lives. Though, that could just be sympathy to them due to dying as a child himself.

Looking back on all that I typed, it's safe to say that I watch too many movies in my free time.

While I see your point and I do understand I can't say I stand corrected. I see his actions in his movies as cynical reactions. Maybe it's just me and I'm just stupid. No matter.

Lol, yeah. That's been bugging the hell out of me too. I haven't seen the remake, due to being too much of a Robert Englund fanboy to take it seriously, so I don't know if he had two in the remake or if that was just added because the developers said so.

Yea me and my friends were wondering why they gave him 2 claws. I'd understand a bit since when it comes to a lot of the weapons(in MK games), either its 1 two-handed or 1 in each hand. Rarely have a seen a character with just a single weapon in one hand, I think the only one that comes to mind is Nightwolf, but yeah Freddy's always had just one claw hand, I wonder why they didn't keep it that way.

I'm so done with this game i don't need any more rage out of it. I regret buying it now. The concept of this game is nothing more then just juggle your opponent in the air, spam projectiles , teleport , corner him against the wall, and spam one long combo you're defenseless against. The most abused characters and their moves are:

Sub-Zero/Cyber sub zero: spam freezeball's and hide behind ice clones. If you get caught they spam one long combo,

Raiden: Superman that hoe now watch me YYYOOUUUU!!!!

Scorpion: Teleport, spear, long combo and repeat.

Ermac: Abuse the gravity slam, teleport and repeat.

Kitana: Sure is hot in here, anybody got A FAN!?

Noob: Spam projectiles and teleport from afar.

Smoke: Smoke bomb , teleport and one long combo.

Cyrax: Net, teleport,& projectiles.

Sector: teleport upper cut , projectiles and combo

Meleeina: Roll , teleport , projectiles , grapple , combo.

Kabal: Dash , hook , projectiles and repeat.

Reptile: projectiles, dash and combo

Rain: teleport , projectiles and combo.

Lui kang: flying kick , spam projectiles and counters.

All of the characters are imbalanced. I was so hyped up about this game but its ruined because of this. I should have got Socom 4 instead. Has anybody traded theirs in? I'm curious to know how much gamestop gave you.

QQ, Skill is broken. Nerf skill now. I'm assuming you don't like any fighting game that has a combo system then?

No offence taken. The injustice in this game is unbelievable. I miss the ability to side step man where you could avoid that. I'm going back to the older MK games. MVC3 most people are leaving that one for UMC3, and tekken that one is alright. At least there is no projectile/teleporting spamming in tekken.




A combo system that consists of all spamming and no skill? No thanks.
