Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

New pokemon game was announced by Gamefreak today. I'll add more information as it comes out.

Wasn't there Ruby and Sapphire already?

It's the reboot edition, much like Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

Ah, there goes my money again. And this right after October and Dragon Age Inquisition. Well, we've been waiting long enough to see this, was about time anyway.



Or FireRed and LeafGreen. Silly Data really should know better. :P

HeartGold and SoulSilver had nostalgic value for me, but this.... I feel no urge to buy this at all. All I see is new Mega forms added in this version and that'll be the end of it.

I'm going to pass.

I'm wondering how they'll fit in mega pokemon, since gen3 happened at the same time as 1.

Maybe it's a sequel or takes place after the events in in the original ruby/sapphire?

Actually, this gen is the one I started but never finished, due to it being my first year of college then. I never went back to finishing it and I always regretted it. Guess I'll now have a change too.

Remember that things like Mega Swampert were trademarked in 2013.

OMG..... I don't know what to say lol always these conspiracies of "hoenn confirmed" etc etc but to make it really happen another reason why game freak/nintendo is awesome...

but GOD DAMN IT I'm not sure to get a 3DS just for this or is Pokemon X/Y also worth mentioning/buying?

Despite what most nostalgiafags will tell you, it's a good game. My biggest complaints were the lack of high level pokemon in the end game(hoard pokemon are an alternative to that, but whatevers) and just the overall lack of content. The framerates obviously go down in some parts, but I had the battle animations turned off after a while.

The 3DS has a pretty solid library. I think Nintendo was offering a promotion where they would give x or y free to you if you bought a 3DS but I think it's over by now.



It's a bit different, but there are no guarantees that those are mega-forms.

I would be excited for this if it combined multiple lands and leagues. Be fun to do all the different leagues and battles on the fly like that. Otherwise unless it is new (which sounds like just a remastered version of the old two) then I will pass on it.

That would make the level scaling very bad. That or the world will seem a lot more emptier like in the original Gold and Silver games. Something like the World Tournament in Black/White 2 seems like a better alternative.
