Pokemon X & Y

Welp, I guess I'm going to need to buy a second 3DS so I can trade with myself (I live in a rural area, ruling out GTS trades) and get all the starters. Also, I wonder if they'll be doing a dual retail/eShop release for the games.

If any of you are still holding back from buying a 3DS, this should be the final blow.

Many have 9 months time to save up money and buy the Nintendo 3DS inc. the new Pokemon game ... I am just glad they announced it so we have more time to enjoy it all together by the time it is released worldwide.

welp, going to throw money at this

I may have to get used to the full 3d, but I am glad that there no longer is a fire fighting starter and I can't wait. Also I was hoping for a remake of the Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald series.

Depends on the ratings of these games and if they have the potential of being remade .. and yes I have grown tired of fighting/fire types.

By the way, is the fire starter a fox?

Anyways I hope the starters will have new types, Charizard was the only fire/flying starter and Typhlosion a pure fire type.

A type of fox, judging by name and appearance (A Fennec is a small desert fox).

Time rolls by fast. And- although I'm glad for the graphical update (visual presentation has been the one area that I thought the series was somewhat sub-par), it does feel like too much. I really don't feel like the series can keep up this rate of new releases without resulting in it feeling watered-down.

Nevertheless, the new pokémon revealed look pretty neat. And that one tarzan-rope jump has me hoping that the series is gonna steer itself more towards the adventuring aspect of things.

I looked it up as well what kind of specie fox it is, pretty cool, I hope it will have elements that other fire starters didn't have before.

I was surprised how fast they developed the new pokemon game, since it feels like black and white just came out yesterday so indeed times are going fast.

The graphics are really impressive, and the new battling graphics are cool, and I like how they added more adventure to the game.

I hoe this game will let us forget about the other games.

This, pretty much. Along with Layton vs Wright (yes, I'm still hoping for that in English).

Actually, as mentioned before, with about 9 months till I'll actually need a 3DS... Is there any remote possibility that another variant of the 3DS is made?? There's the 3DS and the 3DS XL right? No chance of another "upgraded" version?? This will change the date in which I purchase one so I am kinda curious.

Welp, time to save up for a 3DS

Well, didn't see any new pokemon besides the starters and legendaries. (eevee anyone?)

As consistent as they have been in making new pokemon, with blacks and whites, trashbag and icecream pokemon, I feel we might get some other lacklustre ones as well.

Inb4 Chocolate Ice Cream pokemon, or used tampoon pokemon

Gen 5 had some really great designs though. I think every gen has had some good and bad monster designs.

Given how awesome ones like Chandelure and Crustle are, I sometimes think they might be making terrible ones on purpose to balance them out.

In before Jynx.

The Pokemon games to me have been.... lackluster at best to me in recent memories. I think mainly because after you finish the story there is really nothing to do. I finished Pokemon White a while ago and haven't picked it up since I beat the game. Pokemon Black 2 I got a while ago and I only beat the first gym before I got bored with it (plus my 3DS has a problem with the wifi and the C-Gear doesn't seem to work right on my 3DS but will on my normal DS). Same storyline, just different sprites is pretty much what the games are. In fact, until I saw the trailer for it I was thinking about skipping this one.

However, this game appears to be a bit more like the Gamecube games were in 3D, which might not be a bad thing as those were a lot of fun. I'm hoping with the revamp battle system more towards Pokemon Stadium and the fact you are really in 3D this time around will make a difference. I need to see more of it before I decide to pick this up and spend another 40 dollars on a Pokemon game.

So they finally make a full 3D pokemon game (no XD and the Stadium series do not count). well, guess i better start saving for a 3DS now
