Don't suppose anyone has a Poliwag with Swift Swim, they would trade or breed/trade. Been Doing hordes for 3 hours, and have only found 1, which I took out by accident.

I'd love to go competitive in this game but I'm so behind in the amount of knowledge required it's depressing. Sometimes when random battling online, I'm up against a pokemon I've never seen before, so I just choose an attack and pray it's effective... That's what you get after ignoring 5 gens of pokemons.

Yeah, hard to try and jump into the competitive side of pokemon after being out for a while. Have missed out on the past couple generations and it would take quite a bit of effort to familiarize myself with the new pokemon and put in the effort to know how to put together an ideal team.

That's probably also why I wouldn't do it. I just like being able to throw whatever in my team for the main game and having it mostly have a chance of working.

Keep a site with a Pokédex open, check any unknown Pokémon immediately.

The only problem with keeping a site open is that people sometimes use nicknames on their pokemon, so it isn't exactly the easiest thing to research while in midst of a battle.

So, is Tyrogue able to breed with ditto? Because I've been running laps for the past 3 hours and I have no eggs. Seriously getting pissed.

No, evolve it at level 20 first. If you want to know if you'll end up getting an egg: talk to the guy that gives the egg. If he says, "They prefer to hang out with others." then they won't be producing any eggs. Anything else is a go.

I just restarted with the challenge of using only 1 type, Fire. Anyone want to join me with another type?

It took me forever to learn all the pokemon and i've been playing since the Gameboy Color. Most of the time you can tell the types by the pokemons color. Also some pokemon are very common in competitive play such as Aegislash and Talonflame, eventually you will be able to recognize them. I suggest playing on Pokemon Showdown, you can see types and really develop a sense for competitive play.



On a side note. I love this game, If anyone has a Ditto friend safari and are willing to add me please PM me. I have a Rock safari D: but I would be happy to give PokeRus and maybe a Spirittomb. Also if you have a 3DS and dont have this game you have to go buy it right now! Its exciting that you can finally customize your character.

Been raising a team for Doubles Battles, trying to think outside the box. So far

Politoed with Drizzle HA, paired with Helioisk with Dry Skin

Not Sure what I should do for the other pair. I want to use Mega Mawile, and I've been tinkering with the Idea of using Zoroark first instead of Helioisk, just for the Lolz.

Pokebank is still delayed until further notice. ;_;

There's also a way to duplicate your pokemon with local trading. Don't know the exact details but you will need more than 1 set(game & 3ds).

So i beat y last night. the game was really good, 9/10
my team was Espa (lvl 69 Espeon), Regelant (lvl 64 Lucario), Terriv (lvl 63 Aerodactyl), Nylvon (lvl 67 Greninja), Amteras (lvl 72 Charizard), Skarlla (lvl 65 Garchomp)

So which types of Vivillon do you guys have, or am I the only one who cares?

I don't think they are prizes for getting all of them though. I enjoyed Black 2 and White 2 more than X and Y, most likely due to the story.
