And lol, some butthurt when both the interviewer and Yura Hiroaki agrees that English anime dubs are horrible.. LOL (the comments)I think I mentioned this before in another thread, but there is a BIG following for English voice actors here.
Yeah, but getting butthurt when the interviewer was mostly focused on the whole voice acting industry not taking shots at the voice actors. It's undeniable that Japan takes voice acting more serious than the US does, since most Japanese voice actors have Voice acting as their full-time jobs.
It's a fair statement on their part. I'm torn on dubs over subs, but Japanese VAs can do so much more with their voices it seems. Though I did think that Ghost Story's dub actually made the show worth watching.

As far as I'm concerned the game industry has been in decline since a long time ago. It's only through visual novels (how incredibly hilarious and ironic that eroges can play, read, and FEEL better than so many games from other platforms) that I rekindled some kind of hope in gaming and has been stuck to the genre since.
It would seem that despite the 'open storyline' promise, they'll stick to a linear one but with many side stories. A bit disappointing, but oh well. I was imagining how cool it would be if say, evil won and the entire landscape of Asegard was transformed into something grim and shabby.
Despite saying that you would not be controlling a single 'individual', a squad actually still counts as 'one' group that you control... I hope the team management wasn't too automated that the challenge is lost.
Rewards are looking awesome... If you're willing to pay up to $250 at least. Anything below than you should just get the $60 at max or it won't be worth it. And if you're able to easily shell out cash higher than $250 then... how about considering donating some of it to me? XD
Anyway, while the project is highly unlikely to fail - to begin with, the only factor I see that could possibly screw this up is their professional time and schedule - I'd really like further explanation on the storyline part. To be honest I had enough of games boasting epic storylines and lores when nearly all of them are told in random book items containing tens or hundreds of pages of text; I might as well buy a freaking novel then. Really curious if they could implement this successfully.

They did say there wasn't going to be a true evil. When I read that part and the story dealing with racism with Orcs, all I could think of was Radiata Stories.
My friend said the same thing. Bought the series to show me and I thought, "How could anybody watch this?" It was like a bad Saturday morning cartoon with really horribly forced jokes. Then he showed me the original...

It has been decline according to many at least. As far as I'm concerned, the last J-RPG that blew my mind was released well over 10 years ago.And what game would this be?

I'm sorry I just remembered Persona 3, whenever that was released. FF10 before that. In-between many decent rpgs but just not as memorable.
I don't count demon's souls or dragon's dogma type of games in that list.

Sooooo... how many of you actually backed this already? The question's actually been on my head for quite a while now. =D

25 bucks was dropped. I'm afraid that once it gets to Steam it will cost more. Dropped money on Disgaea D2 and Dragon's Crown so can't support for a full physical copy since I'm on a college budget.
Also, if they get that PS4 deal through I could get a physical copy that isn't way out of budget.

What about Xenoblade Chronicles?

Only game I've played on the Wii. It was good but ultimately it was getting repetitive somehow. The Wii being technically limited didn't help either.
Still looking forward to the new Xenoblade, even though the Wii U is far down my list of priorities.
Also I know it's canon but I couldn't approve of the "romance", even though only implied, between Reyn and Sharla... Yeaaaah I care about the little stuff.

I do know one thing for sure, I like City of Cordo and I wanna run around in it. Thus I hope this kickstarter reaches 650k at very least.

I'm going to wait for my salary and probably drop on the $120 ones. $250 is just too expensive even though it really looks good...
EDIT: LOL well forget about it apparently Paypal isn't supported and I don't have a credit card. Oh well.

PayPal Option
For those of you who do not have an Amazon account and have been unable to support us through Kickstarter, we have set up a PayPal option on our site:
100% of the money that we receive on the website will also go to achieving the stretch goals. During the Kickstarter Campaign, PayPal backers will receive the same rewards as if they had pledged on Kickstarter. This will help us because we will be receiving additional funds to create the game, and Kickstarter will not be taking a cut of the profits. On September 11th, the Kickstarter exclusive rewards will be taken off of the website.
New interview
Here is an interview which covers some new ground regarding Project Phoenix. Thanks to Jace Hall's Show!

More classy music!
Elven Glades is majestic!
It just boggles my mind to hear such good music on a kickstarter project, if the game is just half as good then dear me...

Great announcement kanakanakana! Became a Backer after some long and painful decision-making between two rewards (won't say what unfortunately... It could be a bit embarrassing >_>), but well, I guess I'll have to refrain from buying any other games else this month... And the next, even...
I truly admire the guts of those who dare pledged $10,000, seriously, even if they might be acquaintances to the developers themselves (and crazy fans)...

It looks like it won't reach the 1,6M goal limit. Unless some passionate rich fan decides to break the bank :> .

Good Smile Company has partnered with them.
With 60 hours left, probably won't get the last stretch goal, but hey; they made 800% of their initial funding cost.
Good Smile Company and Project Phoenix will be working hard to make and deliver NOT one, but TWO Sylrianah figurines! The first version is a Limited-Edition version which will differ from the normal version in several ways. The Limited-Edition comes with:
Clothing color that will be different from the normal version and will be designed by our Art Supervisor.
An elven knife accessory
Different packaging, complete with a serial number and a Certificate of Authenticity
And you'll get it months before the normal version comes out!
