Resident Evil 4 PS2/Wii
Played Resident Evil?

I haven't find a topic for this awesome game, so here is it.
Resident Evil 4 is the continuation of the resident evil series. The story takes place 2 years after the Raccoon City incident (Resident Evil 2, and 3), and in the game you can play the primary character as Leon from RE2. If you played previrous RE games, and you never tried this game, I only can recommend, because the controls upgraded to perfection. The old RE games was almost pure survival horror games, but RE4 got a little action style into it, and with the new third person, 3D view, this game is the most enjoyable so far from the RE series. You can butch zombies, monsters, and other horrors with heart-touching style for everyone, who like action at least a little. And the top of that, this game winned a lot of awards too, and it's really a good game. You can buy it on PS2, or Wii, but I can guarantee, that on Wii the game is the most enjoyable, because you can aim and shot with the wiimote, and make the sudden moves, and evasions with shaking your nunchuk or wiimote.
edit: You can buy the game on the gamecube too, but I think most of the people use a PS2, and if someone have Wii, then he/she will buy the Wii edition^^

I have a sealed Gamecube version that I receive as a gift back in 2006 sitting on my bookcase gathering a lot of dust. Th reason is because I told myself I wouldn't play it (or even touch the case) until I completely beat both Resident Evil 1 and 0.
The sad thing is that I'm not even close to done. I can barely beat Normal mode with Jill. I haven't even started RE0. AT this rate, I'm never gonna play RE4

I was going to get around posting a Resident Evil thread, but this'll do. I've only played Resident 4 on my Wii, and I love the damn game. Apparently, it's also much easier than the previous RE games... don't ever have to worry about inkrolls or shit like that. (which limits the amount of times that you can save in the game) It's fun, scary at points, got puzzles that aren't hard but sometimes maddening, and great gameplay. I loved the Wii version... made aiming better.
Them Regenerators are scary as fuck.

Oh man, those damned regnerators.
When I see one coming, and I'm running low on ammo, I panic, and sometimes I miss the Las Plagas, and then they run at me. When they run, they can run.

Especially when they lunge at you with their arms? Holy shit, that hurts and it scares the crap outta me. I have yet to beat the game on normal... which I'll try eventually.
You gotta love RE4 for all its sidequests and bonuses... makes it a great game to play, not just the campaign storyline.

I like Resident Evil 4 on PC... but I've only played it on PC. I use an Xbox 360 controller so I might as well be playing on a console. I'll have a gameplay video for RE4 (PC) up tomorrow.
What a coincidence that I'd be playing/recording the game and I come on here and there's a thread about it.
I've played all major releases of RE, as well as 0. I'll be trying out Veronica Code later today.

By the way. whose your favorite guy to play on mission(is that what it's called?) mode? Mine's Wesker.

I never personally owned it, but I went round to a friends a dozen times to play it (This was back in the day when It was only on the Gamecube, a console I haven't got)
I was never really good at "scary" games for some reason, always jumping a little when a zombie jumped out from behind a corner. He, on the other hand, was completly de-sensitised to it and just shot them in the head.

That's why you play horror games in mid daylight just like I do. The last time I tried playing REmake in the dark, I almost crapped my pants when some dogs jumped out from a window. The worst part is that they completely killed me at full health because I dropped the controller after the shock. To make matters worse, I didn't know how to save the game back in that time so I had to redo everything from the beginning.
Stupid dogs.

I like horror games the first run though in the daytime, then I play in the dark the second.

what was exceptional about the fourth installment in the series wasnt just the campaign, but the extras. the mercenaries mini-game was a great addition to the games content, it was something that could go around a group of people but still stay fresh. everyone i played with always had a personal favorite character too. god was it hard to acheive that five star ranking on every level with every character... you have to be really persistent, but it pays off for sure.

did it ever kill bosses in two-three shots lol

Yo man! I think, you can play RE4, because it's not essential to know the stories of the old RE games. And I can guarantee that RE4 stock up more fun than any RE game.
Btw, I played the game on hard mode too, but that's just damn HARD! That butcher Garradors can kill you with one hit, and is it just me, or they hear better and have better reaction time like in easier modes? I played the mercenaries with all the characters in all the maps till I've got 5 stars, and that gave me Handcannon with infinite ammo. The funny thing it's has so much firepower, that you can shoot down bosses with 1-2 shoots.

Don't forget the Chicago Typewriter with infi ammo, or the rocket launcher with infi ammo as well. (1,000,000 Pesetas... it's expensive.)
I have yet to try the sidequests as well. I plan to do so soon.

I like torturing myself. I know I'll play it eventually. Anyways, I have a lot of games I need to finish first before I start playing another one.

I forgot to post up the video of the PC version that I recorded... stupid me. Here it is:
http://www.viddler.com/explore/PureRok/videos/6/
Viddler lowers the quality somewhat, but you are able to download the full HQ video right below it (350MB or so).

Ah, the Chicago Typewriter, the game is breeze in hard mode with that blessing, except that one military dude, I forgot his name, he'll still rape you in the ass with his knife.

RE4 is the best game of the series IMO but they should've put a much harder difficulty than pro mode.
