I find it hard to dodge the debris and floating islands, and on hard, it takes a million harpoons to bring that beast down. What I found hard was the part when Leon, Ashley, and Luis gets trapped in a house and you have to defend it from a huge-ass horde of infected villagers.
dun worry dodge mostly u will get ur chance to hit the fish with the harpoons, to end it fast, hit the parasite in its mouth when is charging at u to know u out of the boat... for the house part ............ THATS MY FAVE PART ! ! ! HEADSHOT FRENZY (althou the parasite heads can b annoying too if it comes to that a shotgun shot aimed properly shud kill it , if they are too much use a flashbang , yes it kills them i dunno why but they do...

thats El Gigante (if u read the notices that the villager stick or put in some houses) meaning big ass ! ! ! , that boss is a walk in the park nothing to worry about.....Thing fought in the lake: Del Lago.
Thing fought near the lake: El Gigante.
Del Lago Means "From the Lake"
El Gigante Means "The Giant"
I have only played Resident Evil Four and Resident Evil Gaiden (for the GBC). Both were very enjoyable, but RE4 was more worth my while.
Whoops sorry pyon ! finished way back so didnt quite remember much lol sorry for the faulty info.

I also tend to use the SMG in this case. I just aim out the windows and spray tons of bullets. I find it effective in this case, though most gamer guides I consulted with said that the SMG is a weapon to cash in, not to use. I don't know about anyone else, but I use these for weapons:
Red9 (with recoil rest)
Striker
The 2nd sniper rifle (with added extra-range scope)
SMG (with recoil rest)
Anybody else differ?

Good luck on finishing the game and hope it scare the crap out of u when u play at night, here's a tip : SOOT THEM IN THE HEAD ! ! ! :lol:Thanks.
I'm on the Island (Disc 2) now. It's getting damn stressful there, though! I hope I get the game completed once at least.
Once when I had to control Ashley in the castle, it scared nearly the shit out of me when I realised that the knights were suddenly alive! :D
I laughed because that scared me :D
careful that part some of the monks has mask so headshot is a no go, instead go for the knees or legs 2 shot to bring them down then kick them, if ur lucky u can squeeze a few stab on them then slash again to kill them, should b dead if u do it correctly (conserve ur ammo once again) , while some with the wooden shields, keep shooting on the same place to break a hole then go for the knees they normally have metal mask so same goes for normal mask from here.
Update: Completed the Game! Yeah!

IRL is fun. You just go BOOM and everything dies. :)
Although here's my top weapon: Mine Thrower. With heat seeking, nothing compares. :D

Hell yeah, I've got the Infinite Rocket Launcher now! No fucking around with the rifle scope and the red spots on the body of the grey monster anymore! One shot and bob's yer uncle!
This weapon is worth every single penny.

Got the Chicago Typewriter and the Infinite Rocket Launcher, along with the Alternate Costumes. I don't have to worry about Ashley and I blow everything away with the Chicago Typewriter. When it's boss time, Infinite Rocket Launcher and call it a day. The same thing for all the sniping parts. I don't think I should even bother with the Handcannon and the PRL if I have these two weapons.
Mercenaries is a pain in the ass for me. I just can't manage to master ANY of the levels and I don't have as much time to do so anyways.

I've played Resident Evil 1 through 4 (+ that weird railshooter for the Wii), and I've enjoyed them. While RE4 (Wii edition) was a terrific game, I sort of missed the "horror" elements. It didn't scare the shit out of me like some of the older games did.
The reason was how the camera worked (I also guess me being older did affect this). While it made aiming/shooting and exploring better (hell, it's perfectly tuned and works great), it made the game unable to scare me the same way as it's predecessors. You knew how the room ahead of you was built up, you could see where potential dangers might lie. In RES1-3, I always had that sense of fear due to not knowing what would be next.
There were only a few places were I was genuinely scared, and that was: What the game did feature though, was a really creepy and well-made setting.
PS: This is the Wii-edition, I have no idea how the aiming/camera works on the Playstation-version.
