[size=14]I can still play DS games with my 3DS, soon DS games are gonna be cheaper and this means there will be way more games developed for the 3DS so if anything this is good news for me. If we're talking about DS games that we like however, I still play DQ9 and Pokemon SoulSilver on my 3DS and I had good fun with LoZ Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.[/h]

I still have my original sapphire ds from 04. The thing's gone through more shit than anything I've owned through the years and it'll most likely outlive me given how indestructible it is.That was indestructible? mine died in 09.

i would say the DS is the last of the indestructible Nintendo consoles. Mine still works though i bought it on launch day, only issue is that the L button doesn't work too well (mainly cause of The World Ends With You).
It's one of the best-selling consoles of all time and it had some pretty awesome games. I'm still missing a few i want to play (namely the ace attorney series and castlevania: order of ecclesia)

The selling point of the 3DS is the 3D isn't it? I'd be buying something for everything but it's purpose amongst the others of it's kind. As well with the 3DS at 160 to DS at 60... Feels like losing a lot of money. Lastly, theirs no 3DS game I want, I haven't heard of anything I'd be remotely interested in for the 3DS.

One of the selling points, but you'll also get a more powerful console with quite a few other additional upgrades that can play the DS games you like, as well as its own existing and future titles. It's not just a DS with added 3D, even if it may look like one at first. Although if there really are no games you want for it yet, I can see why you wouldn't want one. Waited quite a while myself and only bought my XL once Virtue's Last Reward was confirmed for European release as well.

That does look interesting, but wiki says it's for the PS Vita as well (another system I'm not interested in, at least till the price goes down or more games come out (Same for the 3ds) but I do really want Gravity Rush and the Persona 4 remake for). If any console/handheld came out with a Japanese game (RPG's) selection as big as the PS2's was in 04-05 I wouldn't hesitate to buy.

Damn i needed a new one, my DSLite died about a year ago and my drawer became his grave. Even my GBA SP is still working perfectly.
But i'm glad i managed to play some great game before that happened: Golden Sun, The World End With You, Castlevania, Phoenix Wright and many others.

DS being discontinued was pretty much a given when 3ds came out. Bought my 3ds when the Fire Emblem US release was announced, and I've loved it so far, seems like its getting a lot of translated JRPGs too, which is awesome.

A lot of the DS games at gamestop are cheap! I just bought Devil survivor 1+2 for only $17.

I don't have any background knowledge on "Code of Princess" to push me towards buying, (Square Enix killed the "Jump into any and every Jrpg because it's a Jrpg, I'm sure to have fun somehow" for me. Made me more skeptical of Jrpg's)
Both survivors can be bought for the DS, so I never considered it as part of the 3DS game line up.

I loved the first Fire Emblem (for the GBA to the US) (over a hundred hours beating it, then replaying/beating it directly afterwards). The second one (for GBA to US)... Just never got my interest in the story. I dropped it multiple times trying to play it. I tried the Gamecube one, and had the same problem, though I only had a week to play that one, I think I got 5-10 hours in and was still bored.
As for Mario and Luigi, I haven't played a Mario and Luigi game since Super Nintendo, Exception Mariokart (N64 and Gamecube) and Smash bros (Gamecube and Wii).

It looks good on a 3DS XL.

Does look interesting from a gameplay point, reminding me of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", love anything that does. Story/characters sound like what I expected. I do have a lot of trust in Atlus, but I don't feel this game alone is worth the extra 100 dollars for the 3DS.
You did make me want to try it though.

Why'd you tell me about this... Dammit... So they finally brought a fighting game with Kos-Mos to the states, I gave up after they said they would never bring Capcom vs Namco over seas. ~sigh~

You have til June 25th to get it and the limited edition will be the same price as a regular copy which is a steal in my opinion.
