Street Fighter X Tekken

Not actually hackers, but the Cracked and Pirated Community found out that by digging into the game, and they're effort to actually dig into the data I see it as a way to "quality check" the Game.

And to their surprise, they found Character Data that already finished and probably playable. The messed up part is Capcom trying to silence these "hackers" by deleting youtube accounts and banning Xbox live accounts.

So, I'm sure that they're not 100% exploiting the data for their own needs, but just wants to inform the game community that Capcom is doing something foul and the truth.

Yes. And, in my opinion (duh), it's a huge blow to the genre. The entire point of the game (besides the money milking) is to give incompetent players (aka the sf4 generation) the idea of performing 'difficult combos', because MvC3 'abcs abcs super' was too hard. People are talking about sfxt moving fighting games "closer to becoming recognized esports", except that those modern capcom games cannot even be labeled actual fighting games. I really don't wanna see this happening.

Just looking at this game makes me wonder if capcom will ever make a "Mortal Kombat X Street Fighter" or whatever. They have already done crossovers with marvel, snk, and tatsunoko but how about mortal kombat?

There is rumor going around that they are in possible talks of capcom and netherrealm studios hinting at this game happening...

Been playing this game alot recently I am pretty bummed that the 360 version doesn't have the two player online mode besides that no real problems with the game I think I like it more than AE.

not nearly as solid of a game as SSFIV or AE2012

still a really fun distraction though

So...everyone would stop bitching if capcom just didn't put stuff on the disc & decided to make it a larger sized download later ?
Or are you all just bitching cause you feel you're entitled to all the content they produce up to the release date ?
Also in regards to banning accounts I believe it's within their right as well..you basiclly agree to not exploit a game in your terms of service anyway..& capcom has copyright over all the charecters being shown.
I may not be happy Capcom isn't giving us ALL the content they produce in an attempt to milk it's fan base ,but last I checked they have every right to decide what content they release..& it's not like the game is somehow incomplete without the charecters we don't have...you can call greed on capcom but it seems pretty prevalent on both sides.

Everyone forgets how cheap all 12 characters are, $20 total. Every other game has had the minimum price of $5 PER CHARACTER and BB had them for $7.50 each. KOFXIII also had Classic Iori on the disc, but I guess it doesn't matter because it isn't Capcom right? Either way, 12 more characters for a third of a price? It's like buying the first BB game.

And at least if another version comes out, Capcom makes you pay for the DLC characters unless you bought them beforehand. *looks at Blazblue CS Extend*

Fair enough. I don't play SSFIV anymore but I do remember having to buy AE if you still wanted to play as Makoto and the rest that debuted in Super.

You don't need AE for the characters that came out in Super. There was a necessary version change in the options menu if you wanted to play with people who didn't have AE.

Anyone going to Evo 2012?

I'd like to play SFxTK in the tournament, but with no partner, I can't. If anyone is going to Evo and need a partner for SFxTK, hit me up.

On the subject of EVO, this game has the lowest turnout of all the games.

I'm guessing it's because of the 2v2 format they are running it on. Not a lot of players play with friends IMO.

I would have signed up if it was just 1v1, and I'm pretty sure the turn-out would be much more if they did 1v1 over the 2v2 format.

It's also good to know that I know that someone I know IRL is going. Hope to see you there. For the most part, I'll be trying to play games, as well as helping the Tech Talk peeps mod sticks for the duration of the time. The rest of the time, I'll try to enjoy my vacation away from work. Plane ticket cost WAY too much for me NOT to try to enjoy my stay there.

Even if it were 1v1, the interest is a lot lower than expected... Lots of people don't like the game. 2v2 is just a bullet in the head.

IPW is gonna start running 1v1, gems on tournaments. Will see how that goes. The current format of the game makes it very very uninteresting to even spectate.
