Super Robot Wars Z 2
0
The direct sequel to Super Robot Wars Z for the Playstation 2. This one is to be divided into two parts, apparently. The Destruction Chapter is the first half of a two-part series.
This is to include several newcoming series. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann being one of them! Finally!
These series include:
[color=purple]A trailer has also been released, albeit a CG one. You can watch it on Famitsu's site.
[color=purple]Guess I'd better start saving up for another PSP so I can then import this and play it. :)

Too bad they only covered season 1 of Gundam 00. I wish they would included season 2 into the game too. But with Macross F, Code Geass, Votoms and Gurren Lagann included in the new SRW I guess that would be lots to cover in the game.
And Daiguard too! Hell yeah Daiguard is awesome!

Posts were lost due to unfortunate accident...so I just wanna to re-post this vid
I came. Never thought I'll see the day where VOTOMS, Shin Mazinger, Getter Armageddon AND Dai-Guard AND Gurren Lagann in one game!
And I heard it's only the first half, they'll release the second half sometime this year...hope it's true.

Been while so I didn't remember where did I read it...but here's what I remember
The producer, Terada had said that this year will be a year of SRW; there will be six SRW game releases this year including SRW Z2 part 1 and 2 (I don't know if he was joking or serious about six games this year)
But it's no secret that they also have OG3 in development as we speak.

MORE EDITS
THE ORIGINALS OF SRW Z2
Spoiler:

Can't unsee that those two originals, Crowe and Traia look like Sanger and Tieria respectively.
Anyway, here's (kind of) new scans from famitsu http://www.famitsu.com/news/201103/03040999.html
Some screenshots and details of new systems such as:
Pilot Abilities
Dash: Costs 220 PP to learn; at 130 Will, unit movement increased by 1-2
Consecutive Movement: Costs 300 PP to learn; when your will is 120+, you'll get another chance to move your unit again once after you killed one enemy unit(kinda like 'Zeal (Awaken)' spirit command, I think). This ability applies to the unit not pilots, so it can only be used once per phase.
Sub-Orders
New system to compensates the lack of squad system, it allows you to assign missions to pilots who didn't partake in previous map on the intermission screen. There are 4 different categories in which you can assign 5 pilots on each:
1. Training: All participants get 20 PP each.
2. Patrol: All participants get 2 kills each.
3. Simulator: All participants get 500 experience each.
4. Acquire Resources: Obtain total of all participants levels x 500 in gold.
Personally I found this sub-orders system as an interesting substitution for squad, since I kinda had hard time with squads in previous installments like First Z and @3.

Yeah there's a rumor that new title in PS3 will be using unit's models like in ACE-R, but dunno if it's true or not.
...I think it's not really secret that they'll use second season of Gundam 00 and Code Geass and Lagann-hen in part 2.
Spoiler:
And...apparently there will be a 3rd PV!! It'll be out on March 19th.
Oh-ho I'm really excited. They better show the originals.
For now...let's take a look at some units...
Gurren Lagann
Gurren and Lagann can separate and change their pilots.
Spiral Power activated at 130 Will gives HP Regen Small and gains a damage boost and unlocks stronger attacks.
Pretty interesting, huh. I wonder if we'll be able to swap pilot for Lagann too?
Godmars
Starts off in his normal form(Gaia), forms Godmars at 130 Will.
And, I also think if it follows the formula like in SRW D, we can't let Godmars(Takeru) dies, because it'd be an instant game over. Hopefully Godmars can really tank damage this time, not like in SRW D.
Code Geass
Lelouch has a commander ability that takes up his turn but gives another ally a boost to either attack, defense, or boss killing
Dancouga Nova
Starts off as Nova Eagle, forms Dancouga Nova at 130 will, it'll only stays for 5 turns and uncombines to Nova eagle again after that.
Kind of like Gravion in early part of first SRW Z, but I 'm sure it'll eventually can be deployed as Dancouga Nova from start as story progress.
Dai-Guard
It has a thin armor from what I heard, hopefully Akagi has nice defense stat to compensates this, or it has high attack power (glass cannon ftw).

Spoiler:
oh FUUUUU...I just hope the originals from the old Z will be in also...can't get enough of GunLeon's Screams and rapes other mechs..XD
Spoiler:
+the Z2 originals better has upgrades..
TTGL
yep"...but..why swap pilots?..I guess it's for the Seishins...
Godmars
yep"..and the other Godmars can join in and perform that double rainbow sword combination attack..XD
Code Geass
that's good..perfect for supporting others..
Dancouga Nova
yep"...I'm guessing that Dancouga Nova will be the very big powerhouse ONLY at the beginning of the game..
Dai-Guard
lol..that's kinda weird...a thin armored Dai-Guard...I just hope that it's not very thin like Macross Armors..XDD

And here comes the news:
http://www.suparobo.jp/srw_lineup/srw_z2/popup05.html
I can't really read it, but one thing for sure...because of current circumstances in Japan, they have decided to delay screening of 3rd PV on March 19th until further notice. Well, it's understandable.
