Don't forget that you need a JPN account with JPN PSN Cards for this to work.
Other than that, you can use the DLC from your JPN account on to any other account due to the PS3's file-sharing capabilities.

How do I get the DLC for this game? I know the first step is making a Japanese PSN account, but that's about all I know.Fill your PSN Wallet with money from PSN Cards or a Credit Card, then it's just a click away.
1. Fill your wallet with money
2. Download each Idolm@aster 2 DLC Catalog
3. Buy from the Catalog
I remember reading about those. Could I get these catalogs through the game's main menu? Or would I need to go into the PS Store first? (I just ordered it, hasn't arrived yet)
And, okay, that's good to know, sakabato. Thanks.

Since I just recently got Makoto's True End
Just 4 more girls to finish, and then I'll start playing it all over again for the True Ends.
-----------------------------
Speaking about DLCs, 360 owners are probably converting to the PS3 version, since all the DLC songs are new songs from the anime.
The latest was CHANGE!! and Brand New Day, Hibiki's ending song

I do feel bad for the 360-only owners. Hopefully they'll give more DLC for them soon.
I'd like to see the 360 owners get all of the DLC content that the PS3 owners have, and visa versa.
Finished all of the girls. Got normal endings for most of them, but got good endings for Chihaya, Yayoi, Hibiki, Miki, and Tanake. Pondering if I should go though at least one of them and get the True Ending.

I'm facing a crisis here. Got enough money to buy this game but.....need convincing.
Basically : I want a game that is heavy on music, is *Anime~ like*, easy enough to *Complete* without ANY kind of knowledge of Japanese language , has replay value.
What are the Pros and Cons of IDOLMASTER?

What are the Pros and Cons of IDOLMASTER?hmmm pros and cons...
Pros: It's everything that you expected.
-DLCs are always high quality.
Cons: Lack of understanding the language will make it difficult to play.
This means
-You can't understand the choices, resulting in good/bad communications in Promotion events. (But this one can be solved by using a walktrough and they exist)
-MAybe this is con: DLCs are expensive.

How expensive are we talking about? And what kind of DLC are they?

How expensive are we talking about? And what kind of DLC are they?Let's tal about content first. Bamco usually releases the DLCs in Volumes.
Each volume is in catalog that you need to download and you can buy them from the catalog.
Usually each catalog will have:
1. NEW song, and usually with a new costume set.
2. New Characters for Free Play and their respective songs and costumes
(Until now: Hatsune Miku, Ai Hidaka from the NDS Idolmaster, Eri Mizutani from the NDS, and Hatsune Miku Append Version)
3. Some new Themed costumes
4. 3 New colors of a costume
5. usually a set of themed accessories (New years, Snow Princess)
6. PSN Avatars
7. Mail, for the games mail content. basically you can receive mails from the idols.
8. Cash
9. 1 Free Accessory
You can buy them separately
Now about the prices, here what I remember
1 songs costs about 1800 yen
1 set of 3 new colors 3600 Yen
So, it's always somewhere around there, and it's also cheaper to buy a set.

Those prices look scary as f*ck. I just hope there are not many Volumes in total, otherwise i'll go broke.
Guess i'll buy it.

Lol, I haven't bought any thing, except download the free accessories in each catalog. XD
The problem is all of them are "High Quality" DLCs. I would really like to buy a song or 2.. lol

This is my bad habit. If i have a game that has DLC..... i will buy EVERY SINGLE DLC out there, even the most useless *Millions of useless DLCs for Cross Edge....*

Lol, don't worry, every DLC in Idolmaster is not useless. Well probably the Avatar and Cash if you were desperate enough for it.
Oh yeah, Keep in mind that you can only buy the songs DLC with a Japanese PSN account. Besides that you can buy anything else with your current account.

The hard part is not in getting Jap PSN cards but, in finding the actual DLC on Japanese PSN..... i can't navigate that thing at all.

You can also download catalogs via the game. If you can't find it from the catalog in the game, it's safe to assume you need to switch to a Japanese account.

You can also purchase PSN cards on play-asia.com and they will send it digitally, giving you the card PIN, so you can add funds to your Japanese account.

FINALLY! Got the game, don't know what to do...... especially on LIVE performances....
Saw the whole anime of it while waiting though.
P.S. Wiki doesn't help that much since there is just SO MUCH info that i can't swallow all at once, which just gets me nowhere and i make too many mistakes....
I need someone to explain things to me BIT BY BIT!
