Story: A man wakes up wounded in a small village of animal-people, where he is being nursed back to health by a girl, Eruruu, and her family. However, he cannot remember anything of his past: how he came to be wounded in the forest, his own name, or why or how a mysterious mask came to be attached to his face, unable to be removed. Eruruu's grandmother gives him a name -- Hakuoro -- and he is invited to stay at the village. In debt to these people, and with nowhere else to go having no memories, Hakuoro stays with the village and helps the people, bringing harvest to their barren fields. However, the land is being brought into war, and the feudal lord hears of these rumors and starts collecting their food as a tax. Hakuoro then finds himself entwined with these people and the uprising of a revolt army, all while wondering just who he really is. The password is[/color] [color=red]4fakku[/color] [color=green]Note:[/color] The english patch and the voice patch are already included. [color=green]Instructions[/color] - Extract the files. Mount "[Utawarerumono].iso" in the "Main Game" folder. DO NOT run the disk installer. Go to the "English patch" folder and run "Uta_installer.exe". The patch installer will install the game already in english. You may need to manually select the drive where tou mounted "[Utawarerumono].iso". - To install the voice patch copy the "UTSOUND.SFS" from the "Voice file" folder to the folder where you installed the game. After that go to the "Voice Patch" and also copy "utaware-voice.dll" and "utaware-voice.exe" to the game folder. Run "utaware-voice.exe" to play the game in english and with voices.

I have re read the help thingy more times than I care to and I do not seem to be able to do anything but get the good guys killed Even if I zap a bad guy it isnt enough

The bad guys are just too fast

Am I missing something?

I was set at fast (guess that was default)

I am at beginner and normal mode

Guess I will just have to keep plugging away

One question before I try doing drastic measures to get this game to install...

Can I install without turning my unicode into Japanese on windows XP?... Although I can make A guess on all of your answer... just want to make sure there's no hope before I go ballistic on my PC

I do have the Japanese Unicode installed but it does not seem necessary as it is in English

Just copy the patches and the .exe and .dll into the folder where the game is installed and it should work

Remember to use the correct EXE one is English the other is Japanese. The English one is named Utawara Voice

I didn't Dl the iso here, I got it from a freind and I haven't Dled the voice links yet...

Please help I really wanna play this game...

I have a bit of a problem :(
For whatever reason, iso files show up as .rar files on my computer. When I extract it, it says .iso but it shows up as .rar. So I extract everything to it's basics without any .rar files, and when I click to patch it the patch freezes. This is the only game where it doesn't work for me. Any help?
I've already redownloaded and the longest I've waited was an hour before exiting..

If it's of any concern this is my computer -
Dell Mini 9. I install stuff on my flash drive.

This picture is aprox. 15 minutes after freezing.

Extract the original rar pieces to a folder (use the default)

Go to Daemon tools

Click on Add

Navigate to the rar that was created when you extracted and double click

I believe when you to this the ISO appears as Utamara with a picture of the little girl as the icon highlight that and click mount

It should install the game in a folder (Drive letter)\Tarte\HinataBokko

From there you can install the English and voice patches EXE and DLL in the folder it created

i have the same problem when i extract it a .rar file comes out called discdata.lac and when i mount it and i try to run the installer it says it cant find the cd.

do you at least get to the part where Eruruu comes and helps? if so just keep her nearby and have her heal the others.If you can try to surround her with her allies so she can heal them without the enemies getting to her

I would like to thank all the posters for their advice on what to do to get past the fighting scenes

I have come to the conclusion that at my age my reaction time is just too slow

As I stated in an earlier post I suck at RPG anyway

Looked like a cute game but I am uninstalling it and going to try and find something else to entertain myself

Definitely worth a download, cant wait to get started on this as i just finished beating tears to tiara and people tell me this is even superior to that! Thank you for the upload.

As far as i know, i downloaded all the files regularly, first i extracted part 1 and part 2 of the game, i got a folder called "Utawarerumono" obviously, i then downloaded the english patch rar file, extraced it in that folder and clicked the uta_installer and it started installing. for the ISO, i ran daemon tools and used the rar file "Utawarerumo" (before it becomes a folder) and it worked. I was a bit confused at first but everything works fine. I just cant recall if i even needed to mount the rar file .. but it worked anyways.

If that helped anyone well thats good.
