What VN are you playing? What do you think about it?

The last untranslated doujinshi

These are not Doujinishi. Doujinshis are works of a manga/game that is fanmade, usually using an already existing character from a manga/anime series.

KAnsen 5 is made by SPEED, a VN company. So you can't call them doujinshi because they're officially made.

Oh crap! I meant to say visual novel. I was thinking of two things at the same time.

Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom
I had a few qualms with this one for a while, but now I am enjoying this a lot more than I expected! I am only done the common path and two characters because of how slowly I read these things, but I am making decent progress in comparison to others I have finished.

I also picked up Monster Girl Quest 1 and 2... WHY are these games so much FUN? I love them!

My 2nd replay. 1st year was all profit till I get over 20mil, 2nd year all loses T_T.

Any tips that can help?
-Steadying profits
-Recover loses
-When to expand

It really depends on your play style. But you NEED to keep people in the general worker group (bottom one on the assigning duties tab). They are the general staff that handle all of the cleaning, cooking, and whatever else is needed to run the business. Also, always buy an accountant when they are available to be hired (the ones with the abacus). They put major output when used, but they tire quite easily so you have to cycle them in and out. Do not let any of your employees get sick. Put them in the general employee pool before their bar runs out. The landlady can be helped by placing a person in the boxes right of her. These are here personal assistants to keep her up til the next part of the game. Game over if landlady's health is depleted. cleaning rooms have a sort of AoE in the game so place them strategically throughout the grounds to get maximum output. Indoor baths are better in the later parts of the game. Build a bar to serve alcohol (duh). Expanding is tricky because if you have too many rooms you loose money, but if you don't have enough rooms you loose money as well. I like to make clusters of building around either a bath or cleaning room. There is a wiki for this

Oh, and you need to advertise to get more people. I like to spend 3-5k at a time for advertisement instead of doing it every month. It lets me spend more time on staff and the buildings. And for God's sake BUILD A TREE.

important points are
- if you got bankrupted once, you get to start the game with 1500
- saving up enough money so you get a bigger plot of land for development
- saving up enough money so you get more money for next playthrough
- over populate your ryokan with 竹
- give your service attendants some facilities if they are weaklings
- advertise all the stuff (all advertisements active @ end game)
- reload if shit happens

Deardrops. It got boring, but I'll continue just for the sake of seeing how it turns out.

Fate/stay night, trying to complete everything in the game.

Eiyuu Senki. Some of the best games SLG I've played yet. It forgoes the standard repeated playthrough style and allows you to complete every single event in one go. An incredibly huge world and filled with characters, with a storyline that's not so common that people would go bleh-so-predictable.

The small changes in the game such as quick battle animation, but still providing Ctrl speed up function; foregoing the information page (usually contains irrelevant information about a single character) and instead displaying the crucial ones instantly at the left of the screen (while you're hovering over units), amazing art etc makes gaming experience extremely, extremely rewarding and addictive.

After you've conquered a nation, you have the choice to rest indefinitely (yes, INFINITY) to cash up and complete all the events you've accumulated during the conquering process (when you capture a territory, you're rewarded with events). As I've said above, you can finish absolutely all stories in one run, and I find that very attractive for a SLG game. Except for the very final stages of the game of course, but by then you shouldn't have trouble holding off a wave or two. You'll face at most 2 WAVES of enemies unless you've made enemies with more than one country (which you shouldn't), although there's one time I have to fight of 3 WAVES for unknown reason. Regulate your army and you'll be fine.

I'm putting it ON PAR, if not ABOVE SENGOKU RANCE overall. And it is a PURE LOVE VN, with no rapes whatsoever. It's absolutely incredible.

There's also a special appearance by a very well known character (HINT: Sengoku Rance's No. 1 loved female character. Need I say more?), which makes me wonder if one of the producers of Eiyuu Senki was someone who seceded from AliceSoft. The art style itself reminiscence of it. If there's anyone who might know the actual situation, please tell me about it.

The difficulty curve is not so ridiculous as Rance games (good god who am I kidding the secret bosses in Rance are nightmares incarnation), and no grinding involved (unless you're trying to earn cash, which doesn't even involve battles - just click skip turn LOL), and the trick in defeating the 'secret' boss is very, very simple. Figure it out yourself. <3 The final boss is probably harder in my opinion, dealing 1-hit-KOs if you let her charge up 10 full orbs. Don't do that obviously.

The only fault would probably be NOT ENOUGH CGs and NOT ENOUGH SEX. Some girls don't get sex scenes even though EVERYONE has events, and it could be disappointing for some people. Raise a hand if you would like to bitch slap Himiko. Raise another if you would like to trade a Himiko sex scene for some other characters who don't.

And, there are some weird CGs where it looks pretty obvious LIKE A RAPE SCENE but described and told as pure love ones. It gave me a good laugh.

Aaahhh, anyone recommend some excellent VNs to read; I feel absolutely bored now that I've finished that game; I've already read through 死神のテスタメント (Another excellent VN to read with top rated OST, though I wish it was longer) and could not find anything in the recent that could even match such quality.

Has Type Moon's Witch Holy Night (Is that the name? I forget) come out yet? It was delayed again and again...

Could that have been from their AliceSoft staff member (the guy with the AliceSoft label in the op)?

I'm too lazy to look up who that guy is.

Main reason that my play is currently stalled. I just got bored of hoping for an event, while the only thing I get is Himiko.

I stalled after conquering Australia and Oceania.

I tried to do it the hard way to get special items, and it seems that dome events won't start unless you go by the recommended way so the events i get at one time are massive. So it was bearable... but you probably should finish it, if just to get that character who fell through a dimensional hole chasing a lunch bo. XD.

I finished recently Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish upon a Shooting Star-. As I already pointed in the thread where the game is uploaded some of my thoughts about it are:

I really liked the story and how it developed in basically all aspects. I felt really attached to the characters since they were pretty likeable and the emotional events were on their majority well portrayed to touch us. The game definitely deserves the nakige tag and I must say, that OST really made a great work. I love some tracks. Favorite made a great job imo.
One thing that I complain a bit are the h-scenes. I think that they could use some work since their timing is not that great and the scenes sometimes makes us feel like they were made to just be there being also a little rushed sometimes. One other thing that I didn't like that much was Mare's route. I was kind of disappointed by it. Well, this is just my opinion.
Regardless of this, I had a great experience reading Hoshizora.

It's a Eroge that I recommend for someone that is looking for something that warms your heart and that has a very interesting atmosphere.

Now, I'll read something that I should've already read a long tome ago. It's Symphonic Rain.

Just finished Swan Song. This really captures the horrors of humanity after a tragic natural disaster.

I got both endings of the game, the normal and 'good' ending.

To be honest. Not a big spoiler but.

Spoiler:
Aroe, really serves no purpose in this entire VN IMHO. She serves no real purpose other than what happens in the 'normal' ending. In the Good/True(?) ending, she's just there again, serving no purpose.

My over all reaction was that this is a great VN. But the Good/True(?) ending makes me go 'what the hell just happened? Is this really the end?'. It feels cut off really, and Sasaki's role is once again shrouded in mystery.

The normal ending was confusing as well. Mild Spoiler alert.
Spoiler:
What happened to Kawase after she ran from the school? I thought she was waiting at the church as promised.

I just finished reading all of Cross Channel and it was an awesome read! The characters didn't leave much of an impact.. though it left me kind of depressed.. But I just started playing My girlfriend is the President and I love each character more than the next! Next up on my list is most likely Steins;Gate.

I'm currently playing G-Senjou no Maou. At the moment, I love it. Due to my personality, I love the fact that the protagonist is evil for once instead of a goody goody two shoes that rushes into everything.
