Your favourite game genre?

Bored and I couldn't find a similar post recently so made a poll about what's your favourite genre.
Comment on the more specific genre
My personal favourits are Hack and Slash games or just third person shooters like Dead Space and God of War. And some stealth like MGS
But I also like sand-box games like Minecraft when I just want it easy

Also just as a side note, I hate it when people compare games with totally different genres.

Sports and FPS, but mainly sports because of FIFA 12

RPG, Fighting, strategy, Sidescrolling, puzzle,
I love to say eroge, but I have yet to play one.

I think fighting games are my favorite game genre of all time.

I play Starcraft 2. It's a tough finding new faces in the genre.

I play a lot of RPGs.

No racing? Or would that fall under sports?

RPG has always been my favorite.

RPG's mostly because if im going to spend $60 on a game im going to want to play it for more than 3 days before i beat it.

RPG, Third Person Shooter and you're missing Survival Horror my personal favorite.
Mix TPS with either Survival Horror or RPG and you get epic combinations like Dead Space or Mass Effect.

I dont stick to just one genre, but I mostly play FPS, Turn based Strategy, and RPG's.

I am all over RPG games, But I would not mind playing a FPS from time to time...

Hands down RPG's.

Fighting games and RPG.

I'm obsessed with fighters.

RPGs, strategy, and the occasional FPS and fighting.

Strategy, specifically real-time strategy.

Games from this genre require patience and rigorous mental exertion to play, which make victories all the more pleasing. If you've had the privilege of playing Age of Empires 2 on a higher difficulty setting, then you'll know what I'm talking about.

RPG's are great as well. Always a fan of jolly adventuring.

I wanted to choose more than one! but yeah... I love RPG's~ especially RPG's with a hint of Simulation..... or Eroge's with a hint of RPG.... RPG is the Vanilla in Video Games~

I'm addicted to RPG games, there like crack to me. o.o

I kept getting confused, decided to wiki the game genre stuff and it mostly fell under simulation and sports :/
