Fun tips for today:
If you are trying to get the Rank S/A/B achievements/trophy (only ZOE2 has a Rank S achievement/trophy), remember that they DO NOT STACK. So if you get the higher rank, you will NOT get the lower rank. However, you can just continue enough times or save enough times so you can lower your rank on PURPOSE and not having to play through the entire game again trying to get a worse score.
For ZOE1, the first real boss you fight "Tempest", he destroys buildings that affects your results for SOS Rescue #2, so SKIP the cutscene so the buildings DO NOT GET DESTROYED. Such a cheap move.

Has anybody played this yet? I keep hearing complaints over the frame rate not being as good as the PS2 version. Is it really that bad or is it not even noticeable at all? I have a copy here but I haven't gotten to it yet. There had been some talk about the frame rate drop in the ZOE 2nd Runner HD PS3 version, I remember the PS2 version ran much faster and smoother in combat. Thankfully, there was a patch to resolve this that was released yesterday to make the game run a little more smoother, but despite this minor setback, I'm glad I'm getting to play this game after so long.
Who else tried the Rising demo yet? That was just full of KICKASS!

Anyone have any idea on what makes up the rank? Do the number of slashes in Blade Mode (BM) count?

So I beat the first game. The frame rate seemed to be fine and there wasn't any technical problems. The game was good but the English dubs were horrible. It was indeed really short like I had heard. I put about 7 hours into it. Now time for the 2nd Runner. I hear the combat is supposed to be better but this is where the frame rate issues pick up. Hopefully it's only minor.

So far, I've been concentrating on the ZOE 2R trophies (because it was my first ZOE game) and already I'm at 75% with only the annoying SS ranked mission, locating all the frames for Versus mode and beating the game with an A rank trophies for the platinum. I used Naked Jehuty on New Game plus to kill EVERYTHING INCLUDING BOSSES except Aumaan Anubis in 1-2 hits, you'll love it more than the first a lot.

Naked Jehuty ruins the fun IMHO. I mean, it's just too damn strong, the only thing that can stand up to it is Aumaan Anubis (which is a monster by the way). Back in the old days when I had 2nd Runner for PS2 I used to do playthroughs at highest difficulty with Damaged Jehuty. The catch? Infinite energy for sub-weapons, so infinite Mummyhead shield, Homing Missiles, Floating Mines and so on.
...of course you're still as weak as a toddler against the biggest enemies (Narita, Clod, and so on) when fighting fair (that is, without spamming subweapons), not to mention the bosses. <3

To all players of the Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner HD Edition, both PS3 and 360, I've come across a glitch that should be noted if you're gunning for the 'Frame Collector' trophy/acheivement.
The New Game + can actually be overwrittten and any progress you had from the first time WILL be lost, even though you keep the unlocked Jehuty you're using, you won't be able to find the Inhert model during your second run through of the game, I've ran into the problem twice while cleaning up the remainder of trophies I've to get for the platinum.
My solution around this: Keep the clear save in a separate file, and start your New Game + as usual, but use another save slot for it. You need to load the clear data FIRST before loading up your New Game + in order to access the hidden frames where they would be hidden to get them, hope this helps.
