Aye this story made me actually write something again for the first time in over a year, I learned a lot at least and I may even start writing again.
I have read some of yer other works before but actually not had a chance to read yer own entry yet as I prioritized the others who were in this poll.
I will be sure to read it and comment on it before I vote in the next one. =)
And thanks. ^^

if you ever start writing again, do take note that you already have dedicated readers who will read every chapters (based on the comments in your thread), that's a great addition if you're asking me =D
well first of all, my writing skills are just mediocre and I can't really write something that doesn't involve lots of stupid jokes, so I'm sorry in advance if it were kind of unpleasant and offensive xD
that reminds me I haven't read your works yet, I will comment it later when I have time to read these, many people told me your works are excellent btw~
well it's no big deal mang, I'm just saying what I had in mind =)

I am indeed blushing at this point. =P
If you do have time to read it I hope it meets the expectations people have given you lol.
As for your writing I am very difficult to offend, so I wouldn't worry about it to much. I will let ya know what I think soon as I finish reading itz.
And I have read quite a few stories that I have never seen before in what I usually read. My writing is half inspired by anime and other half by warhammer 40k novels as I collect items from both worlds with a slight obsessive tendency as you may notice if you see some of my posts in recent purchases lol. So not quite used to how some of the stories are made, but regardless a lot of them I can feel the emotions of the writer and the thoughts that has been imprinted on the text.
It has all been a new experience for me and reading some of these works have helped me learn more and see things differently. Which is why I have made some feeble attempts to pimp out the contest in my sig and mention it to a few people here and there so the works may get the attention they deserve.
I will look forward to the results and to continue to experience new works and learn new ways to improve as a writer!
And perhaps one day, learn not to build giant walls of text talking so much off-topic as well. >.

well it's best not to get your expectations high while you're actually reading my works lol, and I'm not much of a reviewer either, I could only write things about what I think regarding the story, mostly about how the story appeals to me and whatsoever =)
Ah, so that's how you got inspired to write the battle scenes. As for me I don't really know what I'm inspired with, I mostly go randomly search for weird and absurd things and often stumble to ridiculous source of inspirations.
it's nice to see you being so pumped up and motivated, regardless of who wins I think it would be an experience that would benefit both of us greatly xD
until then I'll look forward to the next polls =D

My writing in general aint just pure action though hehe. The novel series I work on does have a lot of action but also a ton of mystery, adventure and all the good stuff. =P
Reason I made my entry a pure battle scene was cause of the limitation on words and the fact I couldn't get started til like a few hours before the deadline.
I also build a lot of emotional backgrounds like many animes have, but specifically my writing in action scenes are definitely inspired by the Warhammer 40k novels as they thought me everything I know. ^^
As for yer reviewing skills, having as many different people review and comment on ones work, at least to me, is gold and something I heavily appreciate. You can also see a older work I published from 5 years ago I posted earlier too. Was my first attempt to start and finish a story.

exploring tons of different genres is good as well, at least it also serves to avoid lots of boredom while writing long-term projects =D
starting out with things you've been accustomed with eh? I started a bit earlier than the deadline since I'm really uncomfortable with limited time but yeah I'm also writing things based on the things I'm really accustomed of; doing absurd stories and screwing around with the readers that way.
it is indeed, I've made through it this far because there's always people who supports my work, no matter how few they were, their support is indispensable. Ah, 5 years ago, that was a long time indeed. I just started out from 2010 =)

I started before then too, just was my first real complete story. English was my worst subject back in school when I was 13-15. But then I did my first prototype story for what later became my novel series and within a year English became my best subject as my interest grew in it.
It is nice to have people appreciate ones work and I am glad you have that!
Trying to stay awake til the poll ends at the moment, I must... make it! =P

well I kind of pick up my English from writing since I'm still young too, it helps a lot =D
it's not that much as you thought it were back in my early years of posting my stories, but yeah things got much better right now than before, and I'm really grateful that I'm able to stay motivated regardless of it before my works managed to breach the surface~
good luck on it, you can do it mang xD

This poll is now over! As we can see with the results, Cinia Pacifica aka Rise-chan, is our winner of the first preliminary poll. However, the top three will go on to the finals poll, so both sora-coltrane and AssasinZAssasin will join him. Congratulations!

Sigh, not that I wanted to win but for the past three contests I've had 0 votes, am I seriously that bad?I'm sorry, saiha. You and Nejik are honestly two of my favorite participants because you always try your hardest and submit something for every contest faithfully. I apologize that apparently a lot of other users outshine your work, but it is always a pleasure for me to read your works personally because of how much of a loyal and faithful writer you are. Thank you for your entry.

Don't worry Saihafire, a vote is barely an indication of whether one's work is good or not. All it does is to show the tastes of the readers who frequent the Writing Section.
ED: Saihafire, High said he would root for you. I am happy for you.

I actually made it? I really didn't expect to.
Saiha, the fact that you didn't even self-vote but instead voted for someone else, i respect you for that. It's one thing also because this contest was not really advertised all that much...Not many people came on here anyway. You've been contending since the first contest i joined, right? I'm sure you'll make it someday, i'll support you.
I sort of knew both Cinia and Sora would make it to the next round, so congrats! My expectations actually were right this time...
Well, win or lose, the experience we all get here is valuable. There is always next time, yeah?

Congrats to Assassin, Sora and Rise!
But now it's time to filled our head with wordy stories again, now that the second poll is up for voting! Good luck to everyone, including me!
saiha, you're not that bad, but rather others are better than you. But you still have room to improve, so don't get frustrated and give up! And you might want to consider the fact that everyone else spent at least several hours and they prepared for their entries, while you only spent one... Not that I'm judging, but just saying the truth. I'm just saying that if you WANT to win, you gotta dedicate to your stories more. And don't lose faith, we all have our next time, right?

On the other topic people were ranting about how suckish life is, and I think it's fair that their works are better. I spent an hour because, yet again, life screwed with me. But I knew from the beginning I'd lose, I joined for fun really. I on the personal sense write for release as if to portray the feelings I have pent up inside me. I think you guys would expect me joining the next one too. And thanks to AssassinZassassin for telling me about the winter contest that never made the front page. Thanks to all the people who patiently read my stories and rants too.
Did I quote you all right?
Good luck to who wins any way!
