Winter Writing Contest 2012!

In somewhat similar news, the prize for the Reader's Choice award has been updated thanks to a donation from a very special new member of our section. Please send all thanks to him for balancing out the prizes.

I apologize that they're not standardized. It may cause a rift of which award people will want to win, but I'm hoping it won't affect the contest much. Thank you for your patience.

I wrote it in a single afternoon, nonstop. I really appreciate the word extension, gave me a lot more maneuvering space.

That's strange, considering what a roaring success the last two contests where. Even if they couldn't find any fabulous prizes you'd think Jacob would at least give them some space on the front page.

Great to see some submissions, it really makes me excited to see more.

I have some bad news though and that is that I will be going on vacation on Sunday for a week and will be away from my PC, or any Internet most likely. I will be back the next Sunday on the 30th in time to spend New Years with you all. I obviously won't be able to edit the list for accepted submissions during that time, but I will take care of any I come back to find as soon as I get back. Just paste a link in this thread and you'll be fine. If I catch any when I get back, I'll remind you before the deadline. Please PM one of the other judges if you have questions and I'm sure they'll be of help.

I have completed, after much procrasination, my contest entry. Now it is time to go back to being lazy.

Concerning that Wedding!

its because the very first contest got front page space and some posts were a bit too large (expecially the voting ones) and Jacob wants the front page to be only stuff that keeps pulling people to fakku, like new doujins and updates from scanlators (who deserve the limelight for their work to encourage them to keep them scanlating more doujins, etc). And this contest has many previous seasonal contests behind it. So its not that strange this isnt on the front page. Also you guys get a lot more attention then the cooking contests, so no need to complain :P
