A great cosmic horror with excellent production values all around. Things start bleak and disturbing, and quickly spiral down from there, punctuated by some surprisingly heartwarming and fun moments (after a fashion). The soundtrack has some really outstanding moments, and the use of distortion depending on the perspective is oddly satisfying. Actual gameplay is nearly non-existent, with very few choices, though there are a few different endings. H scenes are similarly limited, and may be more disturbing than strictly titillating, depending on the reader and your overall acceptance of deeply perverted circumstances. Ultimately, the main draws are the excellent atmosphere and story itself, which rank as some of my favorites in virtually any game, regardless of genre. If you're a fan of any of Urobuchi's other works, you won't be disappointed. Overall, highly recommended.
