Slave Princess Sarah

I was progressing fine in the game until the second dungeon - leaving the second dungeon leads you to be placed in the wall and thus unable to progress, and I had to hard load a save.

It seems to be an amusing game, but bugs exist. My suggestion is to powerlevel.

i cant figure out how to install this game. if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

The charm is evident and the promise of a top down action adventure game in the style of Zelda or Legend of Oasis for hentai is big. Slave Princess Sarah, though beautiful in its presentation, doesn't quite stick the landing for me in a number of ways. For one, the decision to mimic the origin Gameboy's green color scheme is an unfortunate one for me as staring at the monochromatic green for prolonged periods of time fucked with my eyesight the moment I stopped playing which, needless to say, made it less appealing to casually get into. For that reason alone I'm probably not going to play this game again.

Another thing is that this game is surprisingly grindy. For most top down action adventure games the growth of your character is through assembling items and power-ups that enable you to do more damage, explore areas previously unavailable to you, etc. Slave Princess Sarah does have that to some extent, but the quest-based structure of the game makes it traditional level grinding is the primary method of getting stronger in the game. Individual grinding sessions don't take too long, but there are a lot of them which build up over time to become a serious annoyance. Perhaps I'm just too averse to power grinding, but I always felt like no matter what I did I was always just barely under-leveled for whatever quest I was in the middle of.

My final point is that the signposting in the game is not clear at all. I guess this is just indicative of the old school style this game is trying to emulate, but it sucks in classic gameboy and NES games too so I'm still going to mention it. It's never completely clear where you're supposed to go, what you're supposed to do and how you're supposed to do it. You're just left to trial and error your way through the game which gets frustrating fast because a lot of the foundation of this game feels a little rushed. Ultimately I feel that there's a lack of vibrance and lifelessness to the game that makes all of these problems, which would be willing to overlook in a game with stronger bones, completely fatal. It's a cheap game, so if you want to try it out as a short novelty you're welcome to do so. Personally, though, I'm disappointed with what could have been greatness.
