the only thing from 1999 i remember was the total solar eclipse. nothing was ever mentioned about a comet. and didn't find one with this designation in my lazy 3 secs google search either.
that aside, really well drawn chapter. the water effects make their boobas look so much more firm!

The only thing worried about being apocalyptic at that time was Y2K. There was the Hale-Bopp comet a few years before that, but it was nowhere near close to impacting Earth. It did cause a few people from a doomsday cult to commit suicide, however.
