Generally speaking, perhaps it's even more excellent if the realism is based upon the Japanese take on relationships and social interacting, as opposed to the take(s) popular with the Western part of the world.

I'm inclined to go with the argument put forth by H-Connoisseur - granted I'm no expert of the Japanese outlook or opinions regarding relationships, social interactions and romance, but Miama might have been willing to engage in a "one-night stand" with Takeda, partly out of obligation for the hotel stay, and partly to get some stress relief ... but that's all. Looking back at the dialog, Takeda admitted himself (indirectly perhaps) that he fools around on occasion, so, at best and simply judging from the last page, all Miama might have done after rejecting his offer that they go out was to declare indirectly: "clean up your player act, and just maybe I'll consider you and your offer if and when I decide to get into a relationship again". That might be IN-teresting to see, but I'm not holding out for it to see print.
