Can never really go wrong with key as the artist

Deep Blue Static has ten different stories about student x student/teacher relationships. The art is really good and has a variety of sex positions, but the stories are a bit bland if you've read a bit of hentai.

There are absolute gems in this book, and I'm a huge fan of Key's ability to be funny and sweet. Not only that, but Key applies such a joyful style of art to write complex, difficult stories with powerfully bittersweet themes. "Chilly Rain, Tender You" is drawn excellently in such an endearing style, and leaves the reader in tears. Truly captures the tragedy of "bittersweet".

Key is awesome at writing characters who feel like real people. From the light hearted stories to the darker ones Key makes you feel just as good or badly as the protagonists are.

Highly anticipated volume by Key! Chilly Rain, Tender You was too good!

For a second book Key did a great job. Key's use of high school characters always makes me wish my high school experience was like that. The girls are beautiful and quirky. I like quirky people and characters, they are more interesting.

Key teacher is God. The picture is so beautiful, too.

Majority of these stories are so well written and the subtlety of emotions the characters show through sex is well done. The dynamic poses and weight of the characters just gives the viewers such depth that it feels like you are in the same space as the characters. The scenes, reactions, details makes the characters feel so alive and you can sympathize for certain characters. I love keys stories, writings, character design... it really feels like a slice of life and your peering in this act of voyeurism. One of my favorite artist.

This book is a solid collection of stories by Key. Their art has some fairly distinctive styles, and leans more towards more petite builds (but still with some variety) so it stands out a little bit from the more common busty-curvy builds you see in a lot of the hentai here.

There's a lot of vanilla but then there's the 40-page title story which is very much a "can't resist the cheating douchebag" one that doesn't quite seem to fit in with the softer themes in the rest. It's not too heavy but if you're a vanilla fan it's probably annoying to have that be the flagship story.

This material was released in Kairakuten and the stories in this book were recent enough that they're all generally available via subscription, so you're not seeing truly fresh material; there is a bit of improvement though such as a bonus page for Lovers and My Sweet Cat being a full color version.

No complaint. Love this artist work long ago. Now most of my fav stories combine in book so instant purchase.

I don't usually like vanila but the art makes up for it especially when there's a full view for each page on every scene . Story wise , it has a bit of comedy but the tone is carries is young sexual curiosity and frustration .

The story line itself carries with the art and I appreciate the cute atmosphere as it gives off a realistic vibe to it . I often always go over the COVER girl's chapter as thats the only " cheating " part of the whole book .

Key is one of the best when it comes to drawing the cutest girls. I'm now a big fan.

Can't wait for the next release from key

After "borrowing" After School Vanilla from a friend, I fell in love with Key's works. When I saw Deep Blue Static's release, I knew I had to buy it.
And After School Vanilla as well, because borrowing it from my friend constantly would get awkward.

That was certainly a wild ride ... and worth purchasing, too.
