Read to the end, and I was not disappointed.

Sad? I would say it's a beautiful future. I would love it.

To be fair, if you ever encounter a story where all the women have died off and only men survive and have survived for multiple generations, the author is either a fucking moron or it was by design that no more women were brought into the world the same way the 1st generation of male "descendants" were created, as men do in fact carry the full genetic code necessary to artifically create a female, while two women will never have the missing Y chromosome. The world without men thing is actually a possibility, if only because if a virus (or something else) that explicitly attacks the Y chromosome women WOULD be unaffected, and since women only have a double X anyways, any future generations could ONLY be female anyways without a viable Y to reintroduce the gender.

Perhaps it's some foreshadowing of a sequal where our cute little juicy gets fucked with a baby bump?

I'd love to read that.
